Bernie did great among the young and non- white votes. Which is great news going forward still.

Woohoo! 9% of an uncontested primary. 9% FTW.

Wait what? I thought it was made crystal clear today in this forum that New Hampshire has only white voters.

Just like Iowa turnout in NH is up from 2016. With 90% of ballots counted they are at 263,000. 2016 was 254. 2008 was at 288. So they may have record turnout in NH when it's all said and done. Certainly would be a positive sign.

It's only one primary, but it was concerning at first when they were spouting off about a depressed turnout. This makes me much more at ease that they ended up above 2008 because then it signals a continuation of the blue wave from 2018.

I think he's just scared that if Trump loses it will be to a democratic socialist or to a dude that kisses other dudes. Imagine him having to explain to his son that his president is gay. It'll melt his brain knowing that his son will have to watch his president kiss another man on tv

Yeah that was yet another pundit fail.

That’s 9% that gave Trump the middle finger from his own party. He was hoping to win New Hampshire in 2020. But with those weak numbers, that won’t happen.

91% of an electorate is weak numbers? I mean, what was the turnout for the Republican NH primary? I'd imagine most people who would vote for Trump there wouldn't go because they already know as the President he'll be the nominee. I'd expect a disproportionate turnout from Republicans who dislike him.

Agreed, and likewise that may have leaked into the dem party turnout somewhat to their benefit since independents would ignore the republican primary largely. So one small caveat to their large turnout night.
