    2018-19 Off Season

The team has a lot of flexibility, as there are only 4 players signed for next season (including the $6.5 MM owed to Phil Hughes). Mauer might retire. Santana's and Morrison's options are not likely to be picked up. 10 players are eligible for arbitration. That leaves 12 spots completely open.
The team might need a 1B (Austin did a nice job there, and will likely be back), a utility guy (Adrianza is among arbitration eligible players and will probably be back), a bullpen arm or 2, 2B, an outfielder and possibly more starting pitching.

The team gets their new pitching coach. Wes Johnson, from the University of Arkansas, is their man.
