I think Longoria has a chance to rebound next year. I mean he basically played as well as I expected in terms of offense. If he can get his OBP up he wouldn’t be a bad player. He was a beast at the Hot corner in the second half. Don’t quote me on this, but I remember reading something about he was among the top 3 3b in terms of defense in the 2nd half.

Lol....Longoria was the absolute lowest valued 3B in MLB during the second half of 2018.

There's more than one way to gauge defense but doesn't look to me as though Longoria was anywhere near the top there either.

“It’s unclear what happened to Longoria defensively over the first couple of months, but he was outstanding after the All-Star break and led MLB with nine Defensive Runs Saved in September, per Baseball Info Solutions. He finished at seven DRS for the season, a vast improvement at the hot corner for the Giants.”

    So in other words, yes.
The definition of a rebound is to bounce back or recover. Perceivably from a low point.
    Which was established last season.
Also, maybe Longoria has a hole in him and will remain flat.

The Giants will be lucky to finish with the worst record in baseball in 2019.

I like Nathan Eovaldi as a Bullpen Piece, not as a SP though. So I was looking at the Free Agent List (On MLBTR) and seeing what the Dodgers have, and they have a ton of versatility.

SO looking at Free Agents that Farhan Zaidi might pursue: (Not ranking just throwing names out here)
    1) Josh Harrison - Dude can play 3B, 2B, & OF
    2) Marwin Gonzalez - Another versatile player
    3) Jed Lowrie - 2B & 3B, not sure if he can play SS anymore.
    4) Asdrubal Cabrera - Range has dropped off, but 2B/3B probably emergency SS
    5) Freddy Galvis - He can play 2B/SS/3B and I even saw him warm up in the OF

Not sure if anyone else what fit the Versatile Description, I give props to Mark DeRosa that dude was able to play almost anywhere. So can Ben Zobrist. In baseball any Infielder should be able to Play OF.

Trade Market - If Seattle is on FULL SELL Mode:
    1) Dee Gordon - CF & 2B, top of the lineup guy and can RUN.
    2) Kris Bryant - Guy can play LF, RF, & 3B but not sure if Cubs are even serious of trading him and it may gut the entire farm system.
3-10) not sure of anyone on the trade market that is "available" that fits the versatility description.

I'm coo w/Eovaldi on a 3-4 year deal. Wanted the Giants to get him before trade deadline as well.
