I'm assuming that Andersen is going to miss more time than they thought. Obviously they don't have a ton of faith in Sparks.

Marlies goaltending has been bad and the only reason they aren't way above .500.

Hutch has been one of the best goaltenders in the AHL for a few years and has some NHL experience should it be needed. Sparks is good enough to hold down the fort for now and we don't play another back to back after today until mid-January.

Sparks starts, Kaskisuo backs up until Freddy is ready, Marlies get their #1 goaltender.

We also have 3, 7th round picks next year to make up for the 5th given up in that draft. Let Swedish Guru Thommie Bergman give us some names and reap the rewards 2-3 years later.

    Good some great news..

Andersen now on the IR and Sparks is out with a concussion. Hutchinson and Kaskisuo emergency recalls.

Hyman to return tomorrow vs New Jersey. Andersen targeting Saturday but Monday more than likely.

I'd much rather see Johnsson and Moore flanking the top two lines. But we really couldn't play Moore over Lindholm??

I doubt Babcock would do that lol. He likes Lindholm. I don't mind em as a 4th liner. I think Moore will be sent back. More playing time. Could end up on the team at the end of the year like Johnsson last year.

All I can hope is that we go cheap, young, and fast at LW next year.

I am TERRIFIEDthat Hyman will end up with an Abdelkader or Helm contract because of Babcocks man crush.

Moore extended for 2 more years on a 2-way. These signings are great.

It's nice to have guys like him, Grundstrom and Marchment that can step in and play on the cheap. Unless the Leafs can trade Marleau (San Jose while eating maybe 1.25 million. He has a no trade clause.) I can't see the Leafs signing both Kapanen and Johnsson after Marner and Matthews unless we can move that kind of money out.
