Plus Lynch hasn't exactly knocked his draft picks out of the park. His best pick has been a 5th rounder (Kittle). If they land the second or third pick, then trading down becomes an option.

I get what youre saying... Theres no arguement from me and I'd love to have him as a Niner, but I think theyre' going to need more than just Nick Bosa on D....which is why I feel they need to trade for draft picks

Joe Mixon, so far, is staying out of trouble and I think we've all watched that video of him knocking out a woman prior to him getting drafted.

Foster was a top 10 talent so to grab him at the end of the 1st round was a decent gamble. It just didn't work out. With draft picks, you have to take a chance and sometimes you swing and miss.
Maybe the NFL should have some sort D - league or XFL something .... no pun intended

So that guys that in question can play there and then get redrafted if theyre doing well.

Like I said those guys you mention that doing well ... all the power to them

But I dont wanna take a chance.

Just having a real edge rusher threat can improve our whole defense. Buckner is going to stay a nine so u r going to have to pick ur poison. Low key armstead is having a good season and it seems hes open to staying with the niners. Thomas should be next to Buckner though. Its mindblowing how saleh puts him outside

I'm convinced that Saleh needs to go

I think one player can make a bigger difference than one with think, especially if that player is great. The Bears were already a top 10 defense last year, but adding Mack made them the 4th best defensive team in the league. I'm not saying Nick Bosa is Mack and we won't know until he takes his first NFL snap, but thus far, he's the consensus best defensive player in the draft.

Adding Bosa and Earl Thomas alone would make the defense light years better.

Definitely. They could also go after another quality edge in free agency like Dee Ford. Imagine the improvement on defense if your front looked like this (assumption is the Earl Mitchell and Arik Armstead aren't on the roster anymore):

    Base Packages:

    LEO: Nick Bosa
    DT: Deforest Buckner
    NT: DJ Jones
Big End: Solomon Thomas (finally playing where he belongs)
    WILL: Malcolm Smith
    MIKE: Fred Warner
    SAM: Dee Ford

    Nickel Formation:
    Edge: Nick Bosa
    DT: Deforest Buckner
    DT: Sheldon Day/Solomon Thomas
    Edge: Dee Ford
    MIKE: Fred Warner
    WILL: Malcom Smith

They should be able to get a lot more pressure on the QB with those fronts, which should make things easier on the back end for the young DBs.

Here's my too early first three rounds:

    1) Nick Bosa - DE Ohio State
    2) Kelvin Harmon - WR NC State
    3) Amani Oruwariye - CB Penn State

Ahkello has played much better lately, after struggling earlier this year while also dealing with injuries, and being on the bad end of some PI calls. Hed only improve with a better pass rush. Im not sure Id take a CB in the first three rounds unless a first round talent falls.

Hypothetical: Let's say that the strength of schedule goes Arizona's way and they take Bosa #1 and we have the number two pick. Who are your favorite options at #2 (no trades for sake of discussion)? These are the top five players that I'm considering:

    Josh Allen
    Clelin Farrell
    Greedy Williams
    Jonah Williams
    Deionte Thompson

Even if Ahkello can keep it up, CB is still a need. Sherman is up there in age.

Ferrell would be my lock secondary pick to take.

After that it becomes a bit murky, I like Greedy, but if someone comes with an offer for Herbert (I doubt it) I would consider it.

Which is why we drafted Moore this year.

I'm not against a CB, but I'd double up on pass rushers in the first 3 rounds.
