Bucks fan: Please comment on this suggested 3-team deal.

    BUCKS give: J.Henson, M.Dellavedova & T.Maker to Atlanta Hawks.
BUCKS receive: N.Mirotic from the N.Orleans Pelicans and Jeremy Lin (!!!) from Atlanta

Bucks then waive (but NOT stretch) the contract of Jeremy Lin. It practically means for the Bucks that they pay the contract of one out of Delly or Henson and then sign Mirotic with the other salary. The result is that the salaries of both Henson & Delly go off the books for the next (19/20) season.

HAWKS give: Jeremy Lin to Bucks and Kent Bazemore to the Pelicans
    HAWKS receive: J. Henson, M. Dellavedova & T.Maker from the Bucks and S.Hill + a 1st from the Pelicans.

Hawks then waive Henson, Delly & Hill and only keep Maker and the 1st round pick.

This should be huge for the Hawks because they need to write in their books 45M for the 19/20 season so that they will avoid huge taxation... With this deal, they load 18M more than Bazemore's salary (Lin is on an expiring this season contract) on their books for the 19/20 season, plus get an asset and a 1st pick which is mainly what they are looking for on all their up to now deals.

PELICANS give: Solomon Hill & a 1st to the Hawks, N.Mirotic to Bucks
PELICANS receive: Kent Bazemore from the Hawks

This should be great for the Pelicans too... Because Mirotic is on an expiring contract which they can't extend because they have to give a (generous) rise and extend Randle and Diallo, they also have to fill 9 (!!!) roster spots for next season, additionally they get rid of Hill's (bad) contract (which they are desperately trying to shop) and they get Kent Bazemore for who they are after but couldn't reach a deal for!

A confirmation that the proposed deal would surely work:

"Pelicans Hoping For Midseason Trade For Wing

    Aug 15, 2018 11:13 PM

"The New Orleans Pelicans had interest in acquiring a wing via trade in the offseason but found the cost was too high.
The Pelicans had interest in Kent Bazemore of the Atlanta Hawks.
Dell Demps, however, is optimistic that the asking price for a veteran wing will come down during the season."

Actually this deal can be extend further so that it becomes even more tempting for the Pelicans with the inclusion of D.J Wilson. In this case the deal becomes:

BUCKS give: J.Henson, M.Dellavedova & T.Maker to Atlanta Hawks & D.J Wilson to the Pelicans.
BUCKS receive: N.Mirotic from the N.Orleans Pelicans and Jeremy Lin (!!!) from Atlanta

Bucks then waive (but NOT stretch) the contract of Jeremy Lin.

PELICANS give: Solomon Hill & a 1st to the Hawks, N.Mirotic to Bucks
PELICANS receive: Kent Bazemore from the Hawks & D.J Wilson from Bucks

The deal proposed in the O/P, can be extended further as to include the Lakers, so that all 4 teams benefit even more:

Atlanta would look to get back 3 assets and three picks, plus as much as possible to wright on their books for next season out of giving away the last two of their expiring contracts and Bazemore:

Atlanta receives: Dellavedova, Hill, Deng and then two 2019 1st picks out of the Lakers and the Pistons & the 2019 2nd pick from the Bucks, plus add Zubac, DDV & D.J. Wilson + add 29M more than Bazemore's salary on their books for 19/20 season.
Atlanta gives: J.Lin to Lakers and D. Dedmon & K. Bazemore to Pistons

Lakers are rumored to be interested in trading Deng + a 1st pick + an asset for (expiring) Lin, but including the asset makes the deal impossible... Additionally the Lakers (meaning Lebron) would prefer Bledsoe instead of Ball, but a "straight" trade falls outside NBA's 125% rule... With this deal both problems are solved and all the mentioned before becomes possible.

Lakers receive: J. Lin & Eric Bledsoe
Lakers give: L.Ball to Bucks & L.Deng, Zubac + 1st pick to the Hawks:

    Bucks receive: L. Ball & N.Mirotic
Bucks give: Dellavedova, DDV & D.J. Wilson + 19's 2nd pick to Atlanda, E. Bledsoe to Lakers. Bucks additionally save 10M off their books from this season and 15M off the books from 19/20 season (if they decide to keep Ball & not extend Mirotic)

    Pistons receive: Dedmon & Bazemore
Pistons give: Hill & 1st to Hawks, N.Mirotic to Bucks.

Here is a "lighter" 3-team version of the same deal that would lead to the same result for the Pelicans:

    1. Bucks give: Henson, Divicenzo & D.J. Wilson + a 2nd pick to the Hawks
Bucks receive: N. Mirotic from Pelicans

    Pelicans give: N.Mirotic to Bucks, S.Hill + a 1st & a 2nd pick to Atlanta
Pelicans receive: D. Dedmon & K. Bazemore from Atlanta

I guess Houston trading Anderson and Melton to the Suns (Houston refused to trade Anderson & Melton for Bazemore that the Hawks were asking for), leaves a wide open road for this deal to surely work as it turns to be a win-win-win deal for all three teams!
