When AOC shows up at a $30K/plate gala, paid for by a fashion designer that owes more than $100K in back taxes, hasn't paid many of her employees and can cough up the cash for this publicity stunt, I have a problem with it.
AOC is almost as hypocritical as they come. She campaigned against stunts like this and now engages in them. I guess she has sold out.

The only articles on can find on her staffer pay is that start at 52,000 which apparently is a lot better then what other Congress people start there staffers at

Not talking about AOC's staffers. She pays them, as she should. I'm talking about the fashion designer that owes over $100K in back taxes, and doesn't pay all of her people.
AOC campaigned against people like this, yet jumps at the chance to accept gifts from her.

This instance invokes hypocrisy. That doesn't make her a total hypocrite. What she platforms on she is still trying to accomplish and her intentions are good in most cases. She has a better conscience than most politicians. This was just a lapse in judgment imo.

I agree that she has more "heart" than most politicians. This lapse in judgement, hopefully, is not an indication that she is changing and becoming what she campaigned against in her upset victory over a 10-term insider in the primaries 3 years ago. If she sells out, many people will stop caring about political action at all.
