Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is an economic illiterate — and that’s a danger to America

Sure, but that puts into perspective how partisan AOC haters are that they criticize her for being dumb while praising Trump despite being as dumb (or dumber).

double standards will kill us. How about showing some integrity and using the same ruler for all leaders including our own.

Trump is not as dumb or dumber than AOC. Life experience comes to play and AOC has had zero life experience showing any capacity to succeed other than she is good at getting votes and funding. What about her life was successful? Winning a seat in Congress = there are 500 other seats. If you're in a business meeting and would rather have AOC on your side over Trump, then you're getting a horrible deal. We all know this. Trump is blunt and says some stupid **** sometimes but he's still achieved far more in life than AOC. What AOC does in the future is a different story. She has time to educate herself and change her views on some very liberal ideas she has. I think Trump winning the presidency when very few believed he could shows a lot about him as well in terms of how he was able to successfully beat party establishment Republicans (remember, Republicans hated Trump and were in cahoots trying to have him removed in favor of Bush and Walker). When they realized that many Republicans were becoming huge Trump fans, they abandoned the rest of the candidates.

Trump is a bull in a china shop. No polish, no finesse and certainly cannot comprehend politi-speak. But he does get things done.

People constantly talk about how politicians are this or that, how we need new thinking, get rid of the old guard, different kind of politician etc. Trump did all that and you hated him for it.

I've said this often………If Biden (or BO) lived on one side of me and Trump on the other., I would be friends with Biden (or BO) but would want Trump on the HOA Board.

Definitely, it is amazing how the people constantly doing this support similar/worse from a higher position. I mean we saw/heard his response to Coronavirus (even excluding the bleach inject thing lol) and it clearly seems science is well beyond his range. All the random things he has "heard" over the years like about windmills causing cancer for example. The sharpie on the map incident. I mean he is still going on with the election lies and 0 proof.

We are talking about a man child who was given large amount of $ from his dad that if he invested wisely could be worth a similar amount today off that. Instead he has used it to defraud people and constantly ends up in court for screwing people over. Making some of the dumbest statements and twitter posts we have ever seen from a POTUS over the last chunk of years.

As I noted to scoots/ewing I think a lot of this is just media/extreme partisanship that push people to take this approach towards her.

why is it hard to criticize or accept criticism of AOC, she's not special.

she will offer her opinion on anything, whether she knows what she is talking about or not.

When asked to expand on her comment, Ocasio-Cortez hesitated for a moment before explaining how “Palestinians are experiencing difficulty in access to their housing and homes. Oh I think — what I meant is that the settlements that are increasing in some of these areas and places where Palestinians are experiencing difficulty in access to their housing and homes…”

Ocasio-Cortez was then asked to further clarify her comments, in which she acknowledged that she is not familiar with the ins and outs of the ongoing clash in the Middle East.

“I am not the expert at geopolitics on this issue,” she said with a laugh. “I am a firm believer in finding a two-state solution on this issue, and I’m happy to sit down with leaders on both of these — for me, I just look at things through a human-rights lens, and I may not use the right words. I know this is a very intense issue.”

"It's more important to be morally right than factually right."

That's how you know she doesn't care about her policies really working or not. She just cares about pandering.

Life experience does not equal intelligence. We are not going to agree on this. Suffice to say if you think Trump is a knowledgeable man who knows a lot about a lot of things he has pulled the wool over your eyes HARD.

I never said Trump was knowledgeable. I said he is not as dumb as AOC. You said he is when AOC has shown nothing at any level. At least Trump has dealt with people from every spectrum. AOC only deals with people who adore her. When she gets into a legitimate debate with someone who can question her and holds her own, she'll get credit. Until then, she has never put herself in a position where she has had to defend her political views with someone knowledgeable.

One. Count how many times I defended AOC with how many times you defend Trump. A mountain compare to a mole hill.

Two. I done more explaining why I support her and not the democrat moderate than defend her.

Three: I learnt way back in the sixties it does no good defending leaders that black support with either racists, conservatives or people who don't give to crap about black issues.

Four: I have never talk about AOC with you, because you are mentally disturb.

Really, in this thread count how many times, moderate and republicans, have diss AOC and how many times I wasn't explaining why I support her and was defending her.

Really I could give two crap and a bag of chips about your white, conservative opinion about the leaders I follow.

Democrat moderate give lip service and the republicans try to suppress us. So I know who you are, and where you are coming from and it ain't on the blacks side.

So rip on, I heard all the attacks on MLK down to C. T.Vivian of Chicago during the sixties, who I personally met and been in his home. My girlfriend was best friends with his daughter. I will remember him forever.

So continue to question her intelligence, her morals and experience. It is to expected.
