It better be a progressive or you can completely write off this country. How often has she, along with Hillary, brag about the money they can bring into the party. I starting to hate her as much as the Clintons.

That's the weird part. I don't get the reason why they are all nuts over blue district upset by a progressive, OK, very progressive, candidate. I wonder what is different about her that makes them crazy?

If the Dems win it and she becomes speaker, she will only push more people to vote GOP 2020.

I really don't get why you're so high on the woman.

Dude, nobody but right wing hacks care about Pelosi.

Reread DB post. Most people would see he isn't high on her. You are projecting what you want to see.

Pay attention man. DB is very high on her. Defends her every chance he can.

I think the one projecting what he wants to see is you.

They love her, under her leadership, the Democrats lost hundreds of seats in 2016 across the nation. She is the third best boogie man they can use to rally their base after Obama and Clinton. It easier to fundraise against her. If Clinton doesn't run for president, they would love for Pelosi to run against. Anybody who made as much money in politic as she has, they are crooks. Not maybe, could be, no she is a crook. She is only good at raising money and pleasing donors.

This is true. He sees her as a very effective legislator — that is, one who gets things done when given the opportunity.

The problem with Pelosi now, however, is that she is pretty much passe; not only is she tainted by money, but her neoliberal power base seems to be deteriorating (unless I suppose someone like Biden wins the nomination/election). All of which would limit her effectiveness going forward.

banning the press from one specific public event is a bad thing.

the hate around here for Trump has caused people to either become stupid or intentionally ignoring certain information in order to think they're right. here we have a politician banning the press from a public event, but because this politician is a Democrat we have people here actually thinking this is fine.

    even cnn.com has this article..

Ocasio-Cortez faces heat for excluding media from town hall events
Democratic congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faced criticism this week for barring media from attending two of her town hall events in New York that were otherwise open to the public.
the last tweet is important. banning press doesn't make people feel more comfortable when anyone could just walk into to the event.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Shes great at getting things passed that benefit her donors. She literally says that republicans are scared of her because shes smart (lol) and she raises lots of money.

She should have charged a $.25 to get in. You’d have no issue at all with it in that case. Talking to constituents privately is only acceptable if those people are paying for access.

She would've had a chance to tell her beliefs and ideals to a different audience than the one she is apart of. If I was a Democratic Socialist and a major conservative voice gave me a platform to debate and tell the policies that I want, I would've done it in a heartbeat.
