Going into the military to work off your student loans is like a reverse GI Bill and there is some common sense logic there. Same with the peace corps. Problems…some of these snowflakes would be useless in the military and the military may not want them. As soon as females had to go in the military to work off student debt, legs would spread like Skippy Creamy.

But overall the whole concept is a good one with possibilities.
I love it when people who’ve never been in the military try and speculate on it. Perhaps you’re the snowflake and are just projecting it onto others?

Actually it is you who is stupid and ignorant of what goes on in the world considering paying off student loan debts in exchange for military service already happens.

Look up the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). People can join the military in exchange for them paying off their student loan debt.

Despite this already being a thing, there was not a mass amount of women getting pregnant to avoid service.

As a current Soldier I can say with absolute certainty: you are wholly ignorant about this subject.

And this you know how??? (Puerile QMs)

You're one of the growing numbers of posters in here that know what I think and everything about me personally.

    It is really quite amazing.

No, what is amazing (apropos of this thread) is that you are the one who actually professes to know all kinds of things about, say, Ocasio-Cortez and her career path — and all merely in service of your disgustingly obvious hatred of women.

Fecal matter doesn’t cover the half of it.

EDIT: Oh, by the way, in case you had not noticed, you just got your sorry butt handed to you on a silver platter (#5927)

    Sorry, I don't think so.

    This was the post……

Look up the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). People can join the military in exchange for them paying off their student loan debt.

Keyword here is "Can" which would means "voluntary."

That is a big difference between a mandatory need to go into the military to offset student debt. If it became mandatory, quite a few women would go for the pregnancy option. I have no problem with women volunteering and serving in the military.

I really don't get your overall schtick. You like to come off as this intellectual elitist sitting in the background shaking your head at the rest of the uninformed fools that populate the world around you. But you wind up sounding like the pompous ******* that you actually are. Oh, if only we would listen to you!!! The best thing you could have done is retire. Before that you were actually influencing young people with your stupid unpractical views as to how things should be with little understanding as to how things actually are. Stay retired, write that book you think the world is waiting for that no one will read. But it will keep you busy.

My thoughts about AOC (which are probably correct) are shared by millions of people. Many of which are probably in her own party in congress. Bottom line here is that she is stupid. But uniquely so. Not many people can cost their community 20,000 jobs and get re-elected. So, I'll giver her that.

Hatred of women……what a fool you must be to believe that. On more than several posts here I have praised women. I mentioned Tulsi and Kloby as women I would have voted for over Trump. I've mentioned Hailey as the best candidate for 2024. You, of course, have selective memory along those lines. And because I criticize Hilly, AOC, Omar, and Wacky Maxine you take that as a hatred of women. Pretty dumb on your part, really.

Go sit on the porch and look at the pine cones. Go stare and conceptualize about something, anything. We're all waiting for the latest blast of wisdom.

Except no one is proposing mandatory military service to pay off debts, they are proposing requiring public service for the government to pay off your college debt.

Which is A. Mandatory and B. Even if it wasn’t, that doesn’t mean they’d be forced into the military; you yourself said peace corps and other organizations.

So you went out of your way to say women suck in a hypothetical situation no one is proposing.

11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (Blackhorse Regiment), Two years in Viet Nam - Nothing heroic, desk job. Only heroics was putting up with god-awful miserable weather and bugs. Pluses were .10¢ beer, .25¢ drinks and Viet Namese women.

Please note below the original post on this subject and your first response — the one with which I took umbrage. Nothing about mandatory in either. Schooled again my friend.

Actually it was in that order. Beer and whiskey were readily available. Almost like they wanted us to be juiced at all times. Nothing else to do. Local women not so much…they were only on post a few hours a day and the good looking ones were in town that we did not have free access to.

This is your point??? This is what you took "umbrage" with??? (Puerile QMs)

    Geezus. What a clown.

Believe it, females trying to work off student debt in public service would get pregnant if and when it became inconvenient for them. Some, not all, but mnore than you think. Or do you think??? (Puerile QMs)

Do us all a favor……take two umbrages and call us in the morning.

You are just really trying to find a way to denigrate women here.

Or from someone who understands reality.

Sort of like the more $$$$ you get for dependents, the more children unwed mothers seem to have.
