Lighten up, it’s a joke. No need to be so sensitive. How many times have you had to say that to others on here? Guess Sluggo can dish but not take.

As far as intelligence……nothing special there.
She graduated near the top of her class from a good school studying in a very competitive major. She was elected to Congress before her 30 birthday. She is very well spoken. She navigates a very bright spot light and manages to increase her popularity and influence. She is a fantastic fund raiser. This isn’t a dumb person and you know that.

I don’t often agree with William Barr. I think he is an ******* and holds some ****** believes. I can also tell that he is extremely intelligent.

Why is it that I can admit Barr is intelligent but you cling so desperately to the idea that AOC is dumb?

She graduated near the top of her class from a good school studying in a very competitive major. Do not know one way or the other and will take your word for it. But why did she not get a job in her field???

She was elected to Congress before her 30 birthday. Not that hard to do given her district. She only won the primary by about 2,000 votes when 85% of the electorate dod not vote at all. She won by identity politics. Also, as mentioned, she had just about the lowest vote count in last month's election out of 435 representatives. Where were all here people???

She is very well spoken. Yes she is to a degree. At times her immaturity shows.

She navigates a very bright spot light and manages to increase her popularity and influence Yes she does. She is an expert in this area…but only appeals to certain groups. She does not have whay I would call wide appeal.

She is a fantastic fund raiser. No question about this.

This isn’t a dumb person and you know that. Why do you still think she is so bright??? just because of all these bullet points??? Keep in mind that these are all successes pretty much based on her personality and identity politics. You have show nothing, absolutely nothing, as to what she has actually done. Other than stir the pot. She has cost her people thousands of jobs and started a boycott against Goya foods for no reason other than the Goya CEO complimented Trump. And I believe Goya's sales went up. She is in way over her head.

And if you are going to say that getting elected shows something, save it. Keep in mind that Whacky Maxine has been elected 15yitimes.

    ……………

Footnote……if you want to see a young "progressive" in congress that knows how it is done, pay attention to Katy Porter from CA. She knows what she is doing and how to work the game. She probably believes some of what the squad preaches but is smart enough not to get identified with them. Porter is someone that liberals can hang their hat on.

For crying out loud, man, there could be hundreds of reasons why Ocasio-Cortez did not immediately get a job in her academic areas.

Yet you keep harping on “why did she not do this” and “why did she not do that”, as if the only viable path for her to follow lock step is one you managed somehow to conjure up in your feeble mind. And then when she does not follow your proscribed plan, you proceed with a screed — using your ridiculously puerile triple question marks — suggesting that it means she is dumb.

All of which does nothing other than to reveal that you really are.

What’s funnier is a cursory search shows the reason she didn’t get a job in her field immediately after college was, after her father passed away her mom did not make enough to pay for their house and she moved back in with her mom to fight off their home’s foreclosure.

Which seems like a pretty altruistic reason.

Again you do know. You know she went to a good school, you know she graduated with distinction, you know she wasn’t a leisure studies or art history major. Why are you pretending not to?

Why did she not take a job in her field right away? Why do you keep asking?. I told you I don’t know. Do you think it means she is dumb?

I do know she interned for Kennedy in college, that her dad died and that lead to her moving back home. I know she worked on Bernie’s campaign for awhile. I know she worked for a non profit and took a second job as a bartender. It’s said she did so bc her family was in financial difficulty

I disagree with it not being hard to become a Congress women at 29.

The rest of your post is just you disagreeing with her opinions or thinking she is an ineffective congresswoman. Neither of those things matter here. I disagree with Barr. I think he has done bad things that have hurt the country. He’s really really smart. AOC is smart too. You can’t admit it. It’s mind meld. You know your wrong but the cult is too strong

AOC has an impressive record for a person of her youth. She is inexperienced, but is learning as she goes, which is all anyone can ask of her. I disagree with many of her ideas, but I do respect her passion.

Bartending was also a second job. She has a nice story. I am sure it is exploited for political reasons. Regardless she is smart and was working multiple jobs to try and keep her family afloat before becoming a congresswoman and attacking her for tending bar is pretty gross

was she really attacked for it? or was it more about her qualifications when she got elected?
    gotta love 'referential' treatment
