Except in the Nordic countries it is working. Or maybe it isn't. As I understand your point, Nordic countries are good places when talking about their corporate tax rates but they are not good places when talking about their private rates.
The nordic countries aren't comparable to what Cortez is selling plain and simple. It's flatter.

Do you support a flatter but higher tax rate?

    [B]Canada would make more sense.
    Thanks.

The Liberal government’s tax on Canada’s top 1 per cent failed to produce the promised billions in new revenue in its first year, as high-income earners actually paid $4.6-billion less in federal taxes.

The Liberal Party’s campaign platform said a new top tax bracket would raise nearly $3-billion a year, but an analysis of recently released data from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) shows the expected benefit didn’t materialize.

Is there something about ethnicity that makes a country better or worse for higher taxes?

The arguments I've heard in regards to the population element aren't ones that have stuck with me. I'd be interested in to hearing an explanation again.

I also feel like our collective wealth (which isn't so collective) would help overcome most any of those differences too, right?

It just doesn't make any sense to me. Homogeneity doesn't seem to have any bearing on the optimal tax rate. It just seems like a way to say that we can't do that here even though it works in another place in the world.

nope. But we can't act surprised that we have millions of blacks on welfare or dependency when we put them there to begin with haha. Calling a person a leach after you strip them of the means to take care of themselves is kinda ironic...

I struggle with this. I think the concentration shouldn't be just dispersing the wealth, but using the wealth to build infrastructure that will in turn create more wealth for the bottom portion in future generations.

Our income inequality can't be fixed right now, today. Hell we are already screwed, but we can TRY and fix it for our grandkids.

Would you be surprised to know that most welfare recepients are white?

More total, but no on a per person basis.

It’s not at all surprising though considering where the concentration of them living is.

is that 41% of the white population, or does that mean 41% of recipients are white? If it's the latter, it still means, proportion wise, blacks are still on welfare more than any other race. And my point is, there is a reason for that.

harmless joke? I guess mocking a disabled veteran is fine to some people.
I thought Dan Crenshaw handled it great. instead of getting angry and countering with his own attack he was civil.

At what point is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez obligated to not lie? Stephanie Hamill is not Fox News. Stephanie Hamill just used a video that aired on Fox News.

Dan Crenshaw turned a childish joke into a means of pushing his personal stock higher. He’s clearly got a knack for politics. It’s a shame he isn’t as good at being human.

mocking a disabled veteran is just a childish joke? you people that hate Trump never use this same type of label when it's Trump mocking/attacking/criticizing. many went on and still attack Trump over mocking a disabled reporter, despite that not being true. Trump didn't mock the reporter just for being disabled.
