Which do you want. You can't have both. Do you want sharia or the constitution?

Exactly the reason why I don't want those people coming to this country.

But that's why we have amendments. So there isn't a need for a revised Constitution IMO

this is recent news to support this.

Six men from Minnesota are charged with trying to leave the United States to travel overseas and join ISIS fighters in Syria. Prosecutors say they were partly inspired by a neighborhood friend who successfully made it to the battlefield last year. Jeff Pegues reports on fears of increased radicalization in Minnesota.

Fact is, he got put on the map as a political personality when he started in with the birtherism. Then he blew up into a political rockstar 4 years later when he called for building the wall.
Trump was already a well known celebrity long before Obama was known. Donald Trump was in Bobby Brown's video On Our Own way back in 1989.
Trump was also mentioned in Nelly's song Country Grammar in 2000.
Bill Gates, Donald Trump, let me in now

the anti-Trump movement seems to be getting dumber

Yes, Trump was a celebrity long before his birtherism nonsense. But he was not a popular political figure. Just because you're famous or a celebrity doesn't mean you have a credible political career. Otherwise Beyoncé is a politician...

my point isn't really that Trump wasn't popular politically. it's to counter this perception that before getting into politics that Trump was nobody, as if this birther controversy is what made him famous. that is not reality, Trump was already famous.

Given that one of the first things we need to do is to alter the way we do amendments by eliminating the tyranny of the minority (read: lesser populated states,) and since that would require these little states to relinquish power, it is not going to happen.

Trump was definitely a celebrity prior to his birtherism nonsense. He was a billionaire, star of the Apprentice, and had been in the public spotlight for 30 yeas prior.

But he was a political nobody. His political career only took off via birtherism. But his celebrity career was already well established.

My goodness. No one said otherwise. Do you really not understand the difference between being famous and being a politician?

His political career wouldn't have happened without the celebrity and business career.

Sharia obviously, did you not read my last post.

So explain to me how this equates to me posing some sort of threat to America. And if this threat is great enough to automatically bar someone from entering, what should we think of this threat regarding muslims already living here?

Obviously his celebrity helped his political career. But so did his touting of birtherism. He was a political nobody (but a celebrity) before that.

This is not true. Just simply not true or as the kids would say a LIE. A Clinton campaign employee mentioned in meetings that attacking him for lacking American roots. And in fact, a staffer was fired for forwarding emails that tried to associate Obama with being a Muslim.

So to quote the President...FAKE NEWS!

I don’t think that’s accurate, he ran a campaign in 2000 and polled at 7% and has talked very publicly about running for President since ‘88 and received plenty of press coverage related to running for President over the last 30yrs.
