It's not Magoo as Magoo. It's Magoo Magoo-ing us as Troll Magoo.

I have zero evidence for this assertion of course. Just a gut.

The debacle and disgrace this team is goes on and on. I can not remember a METS offense this continually putrid. However, letís start with the game. Another DeGrom gem and the METS has betterbtrade him or pay him a lot to preserve his sanity. I am waiting for him to just explode and go off on his teams after four years plus of this garbage.
Second SA may be taking blame but he messed up so much he basically sunk this team with no quality minor league. Third the Wilsonís need to spend big time or the fans need to stop showing up for this garbage unless DeGrom or syndegaard are pitching.
Fourth some guys have got to go now and replace them with anybody. First, Bruce is awful in the outfield and at the plate. No speed and watching final at bat I knew he would hit a pop up. His swing has that bad angle upper cut that results in strike outs or fly balls. Frazier needs to go as he is just not good. Take pawlicki, Reyes and lobatone too. Trade Cabrera and Cespedes to get something back. To get one hit off a rookie coming off one month rehab is embarrassing. They make every pitcher into some cy young hall of Famer.
Gonzalez was a start but much work needs to be done

This guy comes across as a Yankee fan trying to troll Mets fans. It's sad.

The Mets batted .147 on their nine-game homestand that ended Sunday. Since 1900, that was the lowest batting average by any major-league team on a homestand of seven or more games (of which there were more than 13,000).

    That's awesome.

Sandy Alderson may be seen as a genius but he is a moron. Any student of math will tell you a group batting under .250 with no speed can not win in a consistent fashion. It comes to five hits a game and unless home runs or all in a row than scoring will be rare. One guy may get a hit one inning and two guys may get a hit later in the game etc. No chance for sustained rallyís or win streaks with low batting averages. If you could field a team with guys batting .275 or better you would win a lot. You would not even need home runs because pressure would always be on. Especially with team speed and decent pitching.

Gary Cohen reported that during today's game.

This is beyond bad and pathetic. It's actually an insult to every fan who follows the team.

Baseball is about not making outs and getting outs...everything else is just window dressings.

I think it is an insult to the early 60's teams.

Bruce, Rosario, and Conforto have just been AWFUL this year. Awful offensively and defensively. Future is bright when the guys who will be here for the next 3+ years are this bad

It's worse than that. They've hit .135 as a team since May 31st.

deGrom has a 1.55 ERA in 87 innings pitched and a 4-2 record, just wrap your head around that. There are not enough negative adjectives to describe this team. Blame everybody. What an absolute f'n disaster and disgrace of a team. Owners that won't spend. A GM who doesn't know talent, hands out bad contracts to bad players. A manager who is probably not ready to manage. A team of players with no talent who are under performing. A so called "superstar" who is most injury prone player I have ever seen. 2 capable offensive players. 2 reliable starters. 2 bullpen guys. Besides Nimmo, Cabrera, deGrom, Syndergaard, Lugo and Gselleman who would you actually want on your Major League roster?? I'll give Matz credit cause he's been pitching good lately. What an embarrassment. Better call a team meeting.

Anyway at the end of the day, Blevins might suck but you canít win a game unless you score more runs than the opponent. Canít do that if you donít score to begin with lol.

If we could score 3-4 runs a game, that home run wouldnít even matter. Thatís the ****ed up part.
Obviously if you can't score, then you can't win. Blevins isn't why we lost...but he has been in the past. Mickey would have used him in a 6-5 game just like he would have used him in a 1-0 game. With the lead or behind.

And you're right, what's the point of having a lefty specialist? That's why I'd like to see Mickey adapt. You know, change things up. It's one thing to stick to your routine in preparation, trust the process, yadda yadda yadda, but you can't apply the same thinking to in-game management. That's when you have to trust the numbers. Isn't Freeman hitting well over .500, with power, against Jerry? Try something new! That's all I'm saying. Even if he doesn't change anything else, how about just not against this one guy?

Yeah. The only true negative person in this forum is Coupon (whom I thought it was. Sorry, Coupon) but Couponís at least articulate and actually backs up his beliefs. This dude is just an incoherent idiot who really just spews the same three points with plenty of insults.

Donít you guys ban based off of IP addresses and that sort of stuff? How else do you guys know if somebodyís making a duplicate account?

There was this one poster who was banned and came back under a new username then was quickly permabanned but his name escapes me...I want to say maybe 4-7 years ago at this point but I remember him baiting and throwing around insults quite a bit. Anybody know who Iím talking about?

I agree with you but I also get where Mickey is coming from. I think Mickey is kind of overusing analytics in those situations. Logically speaking, Blevins should be dominating Freeman so you would assume he gets it right but youíre right in that it just hasnít happened. Freemanís long *** arms makes those outside pitches easy to drill. Heís a damn great player.

At the end of the day, we lost because of our ****** hitting. You should be able to afford mistakes like that but the lack of getting hits has made it so thereís a microscope on every hit or run that we alloow which in turn makes these decisions look a lot worse.
