    Favorite Basic Cheese

Welcome to part two of our basic *****es series. This time we are dealing with cheese. What is your favorite basic ***** cheese? Don't make this super complicated.

    In the running:

    American
The often hated on cheese is a standard at most pubs or bars as a potentially topping for a sandwich or a burger. You can make a mean grilled cheese out of it, though.

    Cheddar
Maybe the classic cheese here in America, you'll most commonly find this cheese served up a typical burger. Also make great Cheez-Its

    Swiss
Few things go better than ham and swiss cheese, but while we're talking about burgers how about a mushroom swiss burger?

    Parmesan
A bit different than the other cheeses here, as it often used as a topping for many different types of dishes. A must-have condiment in most household. Also great in it's block form.

    Feta
The more Feta, the more beta. Used in many Mediterranean recipes, this salty cheese has become quite trendy.

    Mozzarella
This wonderful moist cheese can be used in so many different ways, from pasta dishes to a caprese salad to much more.

    Pepperjack
A basic ***** favorite, Pepperjack brings some heat!

    Provolone
Provolone is a favorite for many sandwiches and subs

    Aged cheddar cheeses.

    Dubliner Irish aged cheddar
    Vermont sharp white cheddar
    Old Croc smoked cheddar

I pack a lunch, and it always involves a Tupperware bowl of grapes, almonds, and one of those cheeses listed above. Itís everyday so itís my basic go-to favorite cheese.

Iím pretty bad though...I have triple creme Brie/Velvetta block in fridge for microwave & Fritos. Cheese is forever. Itís a huge part of my life. If it wasnít for cheese, Iíd....

Provolone I guess, but I like all them there cheeses except feta. Just not a fan of feta or gorgonzola, I can eat feta though, I can't eat the latter.

Since you said basic, I based my decision off of my preferred cheese to eat by the stick or block and not as an addition to food. Cheddar.

Seriously...all of them on 1 sandwich. Orgasmic. If you get the chance, you need to go to Melts or a similar place. Pretty much a grilled cheese paradise.

Never paid for a grilled cheese, unless it was used as vessel in eggs Benedict.

I use provolone and mozzarella a lot and smoked provolone is great but seeing how I have to go with one then cheddar tops my cheese stack.

    Basic Pepperjack isnít even spicy.
I shell out more for the local Pepperjack instead of that basic weak Pepperjack that has a hint of spice.

    I love old cheddar.

I don't want to be "that" guy, but American cheese is not cheese.
