My guess is that Cashman will bend a little bit and include Frazier in the Deal. Maybe something like Frazier, Adams and German?

If he pulls it off without either Sheffield or Frazier in the deal, then he should get exec of the year.

Not sure why they seem to be so hesitant to deal Frazier. With Judge and Stanton not going anywhere anytime soon, the outfield is crowded.

Earlier in the year the Orioles wanted pitching two that are ML ready and 2 others. We have German and Losaiga, who have already started, Jonathan Holder who is ML Bullpen, Adams and other minor league prospects, all without having to trade Sheffield. This also doesn't take into account for the possibility of flipping Sonny Gray to them, which would also give them a serviceable ML starter.

I would agree. Imo the plan is get him on our terms not theirs. Machado is not a necessity. Cashman trades Sheffield only for an elite arm, ala deGrom, Bumgarner et.al.

Gardy may be gone soon, next season is an option year (team) at $12.5M. They also love Fraziers bat speed.

    Nice.

    In all seriousness tough:

    A) Family who took us in in the aftermath of Maria came in to town from Puerto Rico and they're timing doesn't line up with the Yanks' home schedule. Friend of theirs from their hometown (I've told this story twice before on these boards) is a former Mets starting outfielder who got us behind the inner sanctum after a game a few years ago right to the locker room area (obviously you can't go in there but it was cool nonetheless).

    B) It's baseball on a beautiful July summer night in NYC. Need I explain more? I mean.....I guess I could sit home wrapped in a blanket, comforted by the dulcet, unbroken outpouring of artificial air, reading up on the latest local ordinances concerning load capacity and ladder etiquette

    C) Max Scherzer for 28 bucks. As Infernos, Shinobi, Oak and a slew of others can attest, this guy has been my #1 go to in Fantasy, and just think, he could've been a Yankee to boot.

Skill-wise, I would trade Gardy... but I don't think the Yankees will do it now due to his stature on the team. They look to him as a leader and he busts his butt every play. The time to trade him was when he was just a number... now he's the longest tenured Yankee and the clubhouse (judge included) love him.

He also just got to his 10 full year mark earlier this season, so he has veto over any trade. If the team had any thought of trading him, they would have done so prior to the season or early on before the exact 10 year day, similar to what Tampa did with Longoria..

    Hehehehe

At that point Cashman would probably gladly let go of Sheffield so long as an addendum was inserted wherein Alderson would be required to introduce Sauron personally to those guys you never see who deal with the morons who get caught trying to cheat the casino.

San Fran has approached the Yankees about its willingness to trade Shark and the $41 million that is owed to him for the next two years. I still say I'd trade Ellsbury for him and throw in a prospect.
