Two mistakes. He brought back Harvey and D'Arnaud.

Now if I were the Mets GM this is what I would've done and not done.

    1) I would not have signed Bruce because we already had Conforto.
    2) I would not have brought back Harvey.
    3) I would've brought in a lefty hitting catcher to platoon with D'Arnaud.
    4) I would've signed an elite starting pitcher and not Vargas.

Alderson has not addressed the pressing issues that continue to plague this club. It was the pitching that let them down last year. Here is where I would have spent the money. On the pitching.

Conforto was injured at the start of the season. Thatís why Bruce was brought in to provide offense. It made sense at the time. Conforto btw has looked terrible since his return from injury.

I still don't think the Bruce signing made sense because they could have gotten by with minor league signing or a one year contract guy for Conforto insurance. The commitment to Bruce seems to have come at the expense of filling other more important needs and the development of Nimmo.

It's time for this team to move on from this regime. Had their chance and failed.

It never made sense. Worst-case was Conforto being out until June. You don't sign a guy for three years to cover three months.

Sandy knows how to build a winner and draft and develop players unlike any other GM, why would you fire him?

    He won with the Aís!

I agree. I would've used Matt Den Dekker as his temporary replacement. I was afraid that Bruce was gonna be another Jason Bey. He's not hitting HRs.

    Thing is, Vintage is correct.

Only thing I don't like about it is he mentioned 'old guy'. Jeesh, I'm going to be old enough in getting Medicare soon.......

Never really thought about 10 years ago when I joined PSD.

    Paulie,

Maybe if you changed you video our luck would change.

She's been here quote a while.

After that we pull the batting order out of a hat.

I will take your suggestion under serious consideration.
