The only way I see the Wolves taking a game is if the Rockets have a rare off-shooting night.

If the Wolves are able to win any game in this series I think it will be tonight due to the fact that adrenaline will be flowing at abnormal levels. The rockets will adjust and crush the wolves into fine dust the next 4 games.

Not getting this one... he has stunk mostly every game he has played. Not even sure why he is getting any run. Maybe he will be the key... not playing him....

I can't say I agree he is a good ball handler off the bench who makes things happen with his driving. He can also pass pretty dang well yet. In all honesty he has been much better then Teague. If tyus could learn to drive and take contact like rose he would be a great pg. But the fact is that even if Rose isn't elite or even par on the defensive end he helps our otherwise stagnant offense and bench at times. Tyus just isn't aggressive enough and Teague tends to dribble the piss out of the ball. It's not like our team is an all defensive team anyways so just as well have someone out there htat can drive and pass in the second unit.

I wonder what our team would look like with a competent offensive game plan.

KAT with 8 points in 40 minutes, 8!!! LMAFO

    PSD Grammar Lesson #1:

    a) their - stands for "belonging to them"
    b) there - means "over there" as in location
    c) they're - short for "they are"

He was getting hammered in the paint and constantly had four defenders around him when he caught the ball. He also seemed like he was told not to shoot any 3 point shots. Often he was standing wide open and just passed the ball off instead. In fact it seemed like our team as a whole besides Crawford was told not to shoot 3's. To an extent it worked but Houston tended to clog the lane. At one point wiggins had literally 10 seconds to set and shoot a 3 and missed.

In order to win this we are going to have to stop playing iso ball and actually run some sort of structured offense. We got lucky this time that Houston was missing its 3's. Next game maybe they'll be on fire and destroy us.

    Edit:

If we can win one game in Houston we stand a reasonable chance at pushing this to 6 or 7 games. I really don't see our team losing at home when we haven't had a playoff game in MN for basketball in forever.

Don't kid yourself. We are loosing the next three games by double digits, you can book it.

I think we'll get one at home, but anything past that would be a miracle.

    This.

Houston aren't going to shoot 25% again from deep this series.

I don't see any possible way we push it to 6 - last night showed us we have no chance of winning any games in Houston. They were pretty poor. We just couldn't punish them.

I maintain my original stance and would consider the series somewhat of a win if we can just steal game 3 or 4 at home. Would be massive for the fans.

Such a positive group we have!

Wow. If we go by positive thinking by those that follow the Wolves we should just fold the franchise.

All on how you look at things. Rockets clearly did not play well but we really played some of the best defense we have played that I have seen this year. With that our two best players didn't play well and we had a shot to steal it. Houston's run and gun sputtered and I expect it to continue to see it sputter as playoff basketball is slower and tougher.. that is not their M.O...... or ours for that matter but ....

I will be the lone Wolf that says we win game 2..... Book that!

So we all should be delusional homers?

    We're just being realistic.

If we could run a functional offense that isn't ISO ball we could steal a couple of games and maybe in the right circumstances be able to make it deep into the playoffs if we didn't play Houston. However, ISO ball will not work in this series or against any other playoff team. I love that Wiggins and the rest of the team is finally stepping up and playing defense but they should of had that sense of urgency since the last 6 games and gotten themselves a higher seed. At this point we can HOPE that we can win a game in Minneapolis and if we are lucky get one other one and push it to six games and go into next year feeling well about ourselves. However, it will not change the fact that this team is capped out as far as talent and as far as coaching. We are bound to certain members of our staff such as thibs and wiggins for better or worse. I would give ANYTHING to have a pressure defensive player like Forbes from the spurs.

Dude! This is some “Sex In The City that time of the month hopelessness” going on in here. What’s sadder, is, it’s obvious that’s what some want to happen but I digress. Jimmy and KAT played as horrible as possible and we only lost by three. We def have more than a snowballs chance in hades to get 2 wins.

First Round Matchup Wolves @ Rockets!

Ya jimmy and Kat showning up would have been the difference. I think it's just really frustrating to have a game so ready to take and the ones you expect to show up kinda don't. We blew a great opportunity and that's tough as the 8 seed.

I still think we win a home game and lose in 5 so this game didn't change my mind much but it was closer than expected and a lot of our "other guys" we're playing well
