Former Rays minor league pitcher Merrill Kelly signed a two year deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has never pitched in the majors, but just had a four year run in Korea.

Twin also signed Ronald Torreyes, but no details were disclosed.
I like Schoop with the Twins. He needed to get away from Baltimore and just never got going in Milwaukee. He'll have the entire spring training to get back on track. Torreyes is a guy that may just need some at bats to blossom. He should get a few games at 2b, SS and 3b this year.

Weird. Cubs trade for him and cut him two days later.

Having watched Schoop for just about all of his career, it wasn't about getting away from Baltimore. It is looking more and more like 2017 is an aberration for Schoop. His BABIP was the highest it ever was. Now, 2018 would be worse than his rookie year, and I dont think he will be that bad again, but he is between a 1-2 win player, maybe less depending on how metrics grade his defense, which is usually average to slightly below average. He needs someone to desperately teach him how to take a pitch.

He's a good guy, and I hope he rebounds, but I wouldn't have my eyes on him being the 3.5 win player he was in 2017. Torreyes, with better defense, could push Schoop into a platoon role.

Kyler Murray who won the Heisman last night (also drafted by the A's in the first round) could be one of two guys to win said award and make the major leagues. Apparently some couldn't wait to rain on his parade though.

He was 14 years old when he tweeted those things. Give the kid a break.

Some people have nothing better to do than to try to ruin other people’s lives. Pathetic.

Take him down and strip him of everything! Including the Heisman!

Take it with a grain of salt but the Reddit user who announced the recent Bour signing ten hours before anyone else has just claimed that Harper to the Dodgers is a done deal.
