Im starting to support universal DH. As much as i enjoy Bum hit, i also prefer our team scoring runs.

If guys like Bum , Arrieta etc really insist on hitting then they can serve as DH on days they pitch.

I heard an idea that would keep the league rules the same add the DH and keep NL baseball moves.

Link the DH to the starting pitcher. Your starter comes out... the DH comes out... and you have to manage with Pitch hitters or let the pitcher bat the rest of the game.

I'd rather just keep it as is or have full DH in both leagues. No need to half *** it.

Trout to the DL with wrist inflammation. Another year where his peak offense is truncated.

Carlos Martinez to pitch out of the bullpen the remainder of the Cards season.

    Which is surprising.

Out of guys with 100 innings this year, he is 26th in ERA and 32nd in FIP

They clarified that it's because they don't have enough time to stretch him out, and can have him back a lot sooner if they let him throw from the pen.

Whereas Wacha is being stretched out.

So every team is forced to use their sp as their dh? Doesnt make sense.

It sounds like this would allow teams to use a DH until the SP comes out of the game. This would give the manager the ability to leave the pitcher in and doesn't force their hand based on their turn in the lineup.

I don't want either, I like the strategy and having everybody play but I feel like it is a matter of time.
