Being reported as a three year deal, will update the title when more information comes out. Solid move for the Phillies. Now we are down to Alex Cobb for FA pitching.

Philly over paid a little bit but the number of years is perfect for them. This or the Santana contract won’t affect them at all. Good move.

Higher amount for less years is good in my book.

The question is will he be ready for opening day v

Exactly, especially with the way the Phillies are set up.

I'm shocked he got this much

Cubs did way better getting Darvish.

3/$75 is a huge overpayment here. But I guess it's good it's only 3 years. He and Sananta are $45M per year for 3 years, then off their books.

This is good for the Cubs. Now we have 3 top 40 picks. And yeah, the deal for Darvish looks pretty sweet in comparison but this IMO is still a good deal for Jake. He is not the guy who threw a 1 ERA over 200 IP but he's still gonna be a solid borderline ace. The stuff is still nasty even with diminished velocity and who knows, maybe he recovers some of that with the extended lay-off.
