Think Rodgers wants that big contract only to see them cut his buddies Jordy and Clay?

Packers haven't brought in an OL guy from FA in over a decade and you are telling me that their first splash will be 30 year old Alex Boone? lol no way.

Not to mention adding 35 year old Derrick Johnson to pair with aging Clay Matthews. If that were the direction we went Gutey would be fired within the next year.

Johnson would help you guys a lot...Eifert is no good though.

Johnson would be a good add. Eifert only makes sense if they plan to cut Cook.

Are you talking to me? If so, I think they keep Keenum as the starter (based on what I heard on NFLN, if that means anything). I don't know about Bradford.

The game is pretty much all sub now so I look at it as you having 2 off the line LBs starting. Hightower is a great player when healthy and I think Van Noy is a starting caliber player. So on paper, that's a fin duo. BUT, both of them are better of as your second best coverage LB. Neither are in their element stepping outside to cover and I think you need one guy who can do that. Bradham would be that guy from what I've read. So then you leave Van Noy in the middle. That would be a good starting duo. Then you move Hightower to the edge role where he's also great. Him and Flowers give you a strong starting pair of DEs with Wise as a solid 3rd guy.

I think signing Bradham or another coverage guy would be a great way to improve our LB corps and also the edge rush.
Bradham is a really good all around player, three down linebacker. He is very underrated but he has also primarily only been this good in Jim Schwartz's scheme. The Eagles will sorely miss him if he leaves.

Yes, he's a very good LB.

I get the feeling the Eagles are preparing to lost him, too. Working on a Patrick Robinson extension instead. I'm wondering what if anything happens with Mychal Kendricks.

I am hoping Sheldon Richard or Mo Wilkerson come to Oakland. Also T. Johnson or Richard Sherman would be great. One DL player and one CB them we can focus on the draft. Recipe for sucess. If we dump Steve Smith it frees up 8.5 mil for us and makes this possible.

Does he fit the coverage role I'm talking about? Pats usually play with 2 off the line LBs and I think "good in coverage" means something different if you're the #1 or #2 coverage guy. Like Hightower/Van Noy I think are both "good in coverage" as the #2 guy. But neither should be the #1 coverage LB - the guy that will step outside of a back or TE split out wide, for example. Can Bradham be that guy or is he another guy who can cover well as a #2 but not as the #1.

I wonder what happens to Bruce Irvin, with the switch from a 4-3 under to a "straight" 4-3. Do the Raiders cut/trade him, or put him at second level (off the ball) SAM?
