I am not worried about roster or cap with this move at all i just think u can do it without a football contract.

And also i had no idea they had done this with knox. Which is cool because again they both should be taken care of for what they left out on the feild in a bears Uniform.

Maybe he doesnít want a phony position, kyben. This is a simple way for him to collect a paycheck and be covered by insurance as he rehabs.

Some of the beat reporters have said Miller hasn't closed the door on his playing career yet, despite how much of a long shot it is. So, yeah, I doubt he'd want a phony title either.

He gets full access to the Bears medical staff and training staff even though he's going to likely spend all year on the PUP list. It's just the Bears taking care of a player that suffered a horrific injury.

I hope Miller can be to the Bears what Schwarber was to the 2016 Cubs. A guy can dream. I know he probably won't play, but his whole career had been coming back from injury.

Signing him as a player (who wont play/ the root word of player) is about as phony as it gets. would you disagree.

Side Note thought I am surprised that the NFL does not have protection for players that have this type of thing happen to them. obviously it has to be fairly common to get injured going outside of your contract right. So does the NFLPA not have some sort of Insurance for players like this.

I wouldn't call it phony, seems like a legitimate good dead by the team.

Not sure why you're wasting so much energy by debating that, though lol
