10th in ERA-, adding Verlander and Cole isn't enough, and I don't trust Keuchel (3.79 ERA, 3.83 FIP the last two years).

Because they had a 92 wRC+ last year, 22nd best in baseball. Adding Martinez is nice, and they have a lot of good young players, but that's going to take a lot to improve upon. Devers and Nunez are clearly facing regressions unless they can change their profiles.

Side note - it's annoying when fans criticize lists, but don't offer their own for judgement.

Surprised to see the Rockies as a top 5 offensive lineup. Outside of Nolan and Blackmon, Iím not sure what everyone sees unless you are all predicting McMahon becomes a top 10 first basemen this year.

LaMahieu can hit both at home and the road. McMahon will add some pop to the lineup. I think David Dahl is gonna be a star in this league. And Trevor Story still has potential not April 2016 potential, but I like his bat

Not understanding why people are putting Dodgers in top 5 rotations. A lot of ? There behind Kershaw.

Astros are top 5 rotation all day long. The rotation is stacked with no worse than a high end number 3 as the fifth option and three guys who have shown ace full seasons within the last three years.

    If Cole's 2015 is an ace season, then isn't Stroman's 2017?

Cole 2015 ERA- was 68 in 208 innings
Stroman 2017 ERA- was 70 in 201 innings
Verlander 2016 ERA - was 71 in 227 innings (his 2017 was good, and Keuchel with two years like that)

And before you jump down the FIP train, Stroman's FIP and FIP- is remarkably similar to Verlander's.

Just find it funny. You jump onto these conversations and love to correct things you find wrong, but are still so adamant that Stroman isn't an ace, when you just qualified those three as having 'ace like' seasons within the last three years....which would then mean that Stroman has had an 'ace' like season as well.

Here are the 4 players next to each other in the last 3 years

    2017 only
    ERA-
    Keuchel 69
    Stroman 70
    Verlander 76
    Gole 100

    FIP-
    Verlander 86
    Keuchel 87
    Stroman 88
    Cole 96

    2016-2017
    ERA-
    Verlander 73
    Stroman 86
    Keuchel 92
    Cole 98

    FIP-
    Verlander 83
    Stroman 87
    Keuchel 89
    Cole 91

    2015-2017
    ERA-
    Verlander 75
    Keuchel 80
    Stroman 84
    Cole 86

    FIP-
    Keuchel 82
    Cole 83
    Verlander 84
    Stroman 87

How can we not mention his fip?

3.9 is extremely high for ace standards . If that's what your threshold is a third of the league starters are aces or thereabouts !

Geesh Jeffy, you'd think with all the great Cardinal FA signings they'd be top in BP or Rotation
