Make a 10 man team of C's that played most of their career elsewere vs todays NBA

I'd say pre 1975 guys are out as athletically unable to play today - at least to me.

These guys have to have at least two years on the 's (no Kyrie).

I don't like cancer cases, so no Rondo, Anderson, Walker...

Off the top of my head:

    KG
    Horford
Parish - a good center then is a good center now, Big Al another guy to consider
    PP
    Fox - pretty weak
DJ - big athlete then, shot would be the issue now
    Allen
    Delonte West - weak
    IT
    Barros - pretty weak

I'm sure you guys can come up with some alternates

SO sorry, I specified at least two years on the C's, and even if Shaq qualified you don't get prime NBA Shaq you get prime Shaq here. Also Kyrie doesn't qualify yet.

Got Fox. Thought about Bill, but, he was a weapon against Jabbar. Stronger, and fast enough to keep up with Jabbar. But only in limited minutes. He'd be the 3rd Center at best. I think the bigs I have fit better vs today's NBA. But even so Bill is one of the top 16-17 options.

Do you mean guys who had very good overall careers, a good career only with the C's, or both...??? I'm staying away from the geriatrics and sticking with my eye test...

    KG...
    AL...
    DJ...
    Ray Ray...
    X-Man...
    David Wesley...
    Big AL...
    Gerald Wallace...
    Jermaine O'Neal...
    TA...

    Starting 5 - KG-AL-X-Man-Ray Ray-DJ...

For the 7 years Walker was here he was an all-star 3 times and was a top 2 player on this team all 7 years he played here.

    Maybe SHerman was a reach.

I dont think we reach the 2010 NBA finals without Rondo.

Ever see the flick "Men in Black" when the tow truck guy pulls out the Magnum with the 18" barrell and says "Pleeeese..!"

BTW he averaged 4th best player on his teams - generally poor or mediocre teams.

    '96-'97 15 wins - Walker 1.7 WS 7th on the team, .027 WS/48; 216th in NBA WS - 2nd in minutes - stinks
    '97-'98 36 wins - Walker 4.7 WS 2nd on the team, .070 WS/48 - 5th in NBA in minutes; 106th in WS - AS not
    '98-'99 19 wins - Walker 2.6 WS 4th on the team; .079 WS/48
    '99-'00 35 wins - Walker 5.0 WS 3rd on the team; .080 WS/48
    '00-'01 36 wins - Walker 6.6 WS 2nd on the team; .093 WS/48
    '01-'02 49 wins - Walker 6.7 WS 2nd on the team; .097 WS/48 - this is AS material? No.
    '02-'03 44 wins - Walker 2.6 WS 7th on the team; .039 WS/48 - laughable.

Boston career .068 WS/48, NEVER over 1.00 once; I know we're all fond of the guys we grow up with - for me Cowens, Havlicek, Russell. But, he had a lot of talent, a lot of personality that kids might like, but the guy was well below average and hurt his team with this moronic shot selection.

Rondo had some really good years - about 3 of them, but failed to practice the way he was told too. Picked mental/emotional fights with his own teammates. Played great in front of cameras and like dog shart when he wasn't. Moody. Probably BP II. Poor teammate, had two offensive skills - passing and driving, but he didn't drive nearly enough. He actually came out recently and said he was the reason they won in '08. By my count he was #7 on that list.
