Matt Reynolds Designated For Assignment/Traded to Nats

    https://www.sny.tv/mets/news/matt-re...ment/266067008

Makes room for Frazier. Pretty obvious choice IMO. People were clamoring to give him the SS job to start 2015. Instead, he was sent down to AAA, where he imploded. Never quite been the same. Wish him luck elsewhere.

Metswon69, you were correct in your assessment.

I was wondering why Reynolds and not Cecchini?

Cecchini is 3 years younger and just one year removed from a very promising season in the minors.

    He sucks, so yeah.

And ironic that he was one of the picks they got for Reyes and well Reyes is still around.

They have a lot of depth in the infield and even at SS with Guillorme possibly playing there in an emergency.

Yeah, I would not give up on Cecchini just yet.

I believe he could still be a decent second baseman.

Matt Reynolds is much more valuable than Cecchini. Unlike Cecchini, he's a major league glove at shortstop even if he can't hit a lick.

I guess you know more about these two players than the Mets front office and scouting departments.

I'll take Gavin over Reynolds everyday and twice on Sunday.

    That wasn’t necessary.
