Good deal IMO. Can pencil him in for 2+ WAR for both years hopefully.

    Great move!

Gives the team better defense at 3B adds more infield flexibility and depth.

Now, would love to see a Lance Lynn signing.

Can't be mad at this deal at all. This means for sure no Reyes is frequent starting lineups, and gives up good depth with Cabrera at 2B and Flores and Reyes in utility roles.

Am glad and I said it, the only way the Mets would get him was if they gave him a 2 year deal. Am happy they did because they had no one for 3rd base.

Now get a SP or a RP.

Say what you will about the Mets being complacent or cheap but they've probably signed the most FA in this offseason. Swarzak, Bruce, Reyes, Adrian Gonzalez and now Todd Frazier.

The lack of moves by most teams has allowed the Mets to make some moves this off season.

Solid signing, donít love it, but itís a move that had to be done.

Great deal. We finally have a good defensive team.

I have to imagine that since we were willing to take on Kipnis/Harrisonís 12-14MM salaries that we still have room in the budget for another reliever, I doubt starter unless weíre willing to open up the wallets a little more.

Shrewd move on SA's part. Played his cards right.

Reyes needs to get some reps in CF this spring to give Callaway option in the OF. Lagares should play against all lefty pitching but not righties - and be the defensive replacement late in the game. Nimmo will get his share of CF also but Reyes needs to work out there too. Would be nice to see Nimmo and Reyes atop the order vs. righty pitching.

Of course Reyes will be Rosario's backup at short and can fill in at 2b and 3b. Flores role seems diminished now - he likely will get "some" starts at 1b vs. lefty starters and will be Cabrera's backup at 2b (but not sure if he is # 2 or #3 on the 2b depth chart behind Reyes). Cecchini now, barring injuries to anyone, spends more time in LV as does Dom Smith. Those guys still have to rake and improve their game on both sides of the ball. And Dom needs to become a lean, mean fighting machine.
