Aqib Talib to be cut if not traded

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...de-aqib-talib/

The Broncos are looking to trade cornerback Aqib Talib, but that may not find any trading partners.

The problem for the Broncos is that Talib is due to make an $11 million base salary in 2018, and he turns 32 next month. Teams just donít want to make that kind of investment in a player that age, especially a player who has the history of off-field incidents and suspensions that Talib has.

Jeff Legwold of ESPN said that he asked sources with three teams if they were interested in trading for Talib, and all three said they are not, and that they expect the Broncos to cut Talib when they canít find any team willing to trade for him.

If Talib is on the Broncos, heíll cost $12 million against their salary cap in 2018. He has the teamís third-biggest cap hit, behind Von Miller and Demaryius Thomas.
    First 4 years:
    Brown - 54 GP, 27 GS, 261 catches (63.3%) for 3,561 yds (8.6 AVG), 15 TD
    Landry - 64 GP, 57 GS, 400 catches (70.2%) for 4,038 yds (10.1 AVG), 22 TD

Huh. Wonder why Landry is getting paid so much...

Makes too much sense for him to go to Dallas.

    Butler is gone probably, right?

Demaryius Thomas is the second highest paid Bronco? I guess that's what happens when you pay receivers after they've played for Peyton Manning. I'd keep Talib over Thomas, but that's just me.

I predicted the Broncos defense wouldn't be elite anymore by 2019, with Talib's age a factor. But it looks like I was wrong as they've take a step back halfway through the 2017 season already.

I'd think so. Hasn't really played great this year. Gilmore has been awesome after he figured his **** out the first few weeks and we've played a lot of press man. Butler isn't really ideal for that scheme so he's kind of struggled. I think we need a CB opposite Gilmore that can play that style so the defense can be more cohesive. Talib I think would fit amazingly but more realistically I think Eric Rowe will break out next year. I thought it would happen this year with him playing outside bad Butler moving to the slot. But they left Butler outside and used Rowe in the slot where he ain't that good. I like Rowe a lot though.

Talib was just one of my favorite Pats so I selfishly hope we get him back.

DT is still damn good... He had the DeAndre Hopkins situation this year.

I'm almost positive that Siemian never threw a TD pass to him this year.

And also Roby was better than Talib this year. Roby is a stud and if we can't keep both, we need to keep Roby.

Probably smart to trade him before he has one of his usual off season shooting incidents.

    Talib is a troublemaker off the field, so the Bengals get first crack at signing him. {LOL}

I think he`ll go back to the Pats on the cheap. They will let the SB hero Butler go because of price.

Talib's trade value is probably a middle-round pick swap. Doesn't compare to Kendall Fuller at all, who will massively outplay his contract for two more years.
