Oh yes. Don't get me wrong...I absolutely am not upset that he's 2-2 and made a wonderful play at SS. Literally, the opposite. I'm just more or less expecting a guy who's been thought of as having good bat-to-ball skills to show them at this level, so I'm probably just not over-the-moon yet. But it's a good thing. Very good.

I just think where his prospect badge hinges is on the defense, speed and power (granted, many can say that). And you're right there's no bombing of the pick. I wasn't super enthralled by it, but other seem to have been. And hey, being wrong here is a good thing. So, go, go Nico Hoerner.

I vote 1908 to be the president of the Nico Hoerner Fan Club.

We can make shirts like Dawk did for his “Wife Swap” episode.

Oh yeah. It’s a story he has to tell.

Unfortunately, he said it never aired on TV.

Hey I'm fine with that. Being incorrect on draft day on Nico Hoerner is only a good thing for all involved.

I heard about a friend of a friend who went on that show and they said they got enough money out of it to pay for 2 years of college for their kid. I was shocked by that. Is that true?

We were paid for “participating” in the filming. Since we didn’t air, we were also paid a small sum for turning over our rights to the material. We also aren’t supposed to discuss details and such. I’m sure, somewhere, there’s video on the web.

As far as how much, yeah, they weren’t wrong in their claim.

I keep saying I’m going to go to storage and dig that thing out. Ugh.

Good deal. I’d do that in a second.

It was fun but certainly not as the show makes it look.

I would like to see him string together a few really good starts in a row before he sees AA.

It seems to me he will have a great outing and then the next will be meh. It's pretty much been that pattern all year. Like you said though, overall hes been decent.

I want Nico Hoerner to make it just so I can make a "ME SO HOERNER" t shirt. I don't even care if he's up for a Bobby Scales amount of time.

I read that Brailyn Marquez hit 99 on the gun tonight. I'm ready for this guy to get the Hicks treatment. What is there to lose? Kid is super exciting if he's throwing 99 for strikes from the LH side.
