The more I reflect on TFA and TLJ, the more both films just totally suck. TPM no longer holds the distinction of worst Star Wars movie ever. It isn't even runner-up now.

    Order Best to Worst:

    Empire Strikes Back
    A New Hope
    -
The Force Awakens (admitting it's ANH 2.0)
    Rogue One
    The Last Jedi
    -
    -
    -
Return of the Jedi (Depending on my mood, I cannot decide which of the bottom 4 I hate most)
    Revenge of the Sith
    Attack of the Clones
    Phantom Menace

Here's Rian Johnson's explanation to a question I asked in this thread a few times: http://www.jedinews.co.uk/film-music...end-last-jedi/

The light saber explanation makes complete sense but I don't love the explanation for why he made himself look younger. Seems like something that would be more bewildering than rage inducing to Kylo.

Completely agree. TPM is actually pretty good if you can mute Jar Jar Binx and then just cut out all the gungan vs Droid scenes....

The music, Liam Niesson, and the lightsaber fight with Maul will allways make that movie watchable for me.

TFA... whole time I was watching that I was just thinking to myself... Oh I have seen this star wars movie before, but it was done 1000 times better the first time
Jackie Bradley Junior.... that is all

I'm falling behind for Star wars. I seen the one where Solo got killed by his son. I didn't see the new one or the Rogue one. Seems like their pumping out a Star wars every couple years now. Times are a flying. Heck seems just like yesterday I seen Empire strike back in the theater.

Every year actually since 2015. Seems to be the plan moving forward too. Solo in 2018 and Episode XI in 2019.

And a 2020 anthology film, though who it will be about is not announced and/or decided yet. Of the rumors, I'm most interested in a Obi-Wan film, Boba Fett film and a Jabba the Hutt film in that order. Then the expected start of the new, non-Skywalker related trilogy by Rian Johnson will start in 2021.

I can't say I'm too pumped on the idea of any of these potential anthology films despite being a major Star Wars fan. Sometimes it's best to leave a bit of mystery to beloved old characters.

I'd love to see a Qui Gon film, but they would need to re-cast Count Dooku. He was Qui-Gon's master, and I am sure a good portion of the movie would be how Dooku became a Grey Jedi.

EDIT: I forgot it's been so long since The Phantom Menace.....they would need to cast a younger Qui Gon too.

Oh, I see the non-sequential posting and quoting is still in full effect. Neat.

Having said that, I think we really need a Rose Tico film.

I'd rather see a "Mace is alive" standalone than one for Rose

I'd rather just rewatch the OT than either.
