1 loss to a solid football team last week. I fully expect us to not only win this game but dominate this game. You damn right Zimmer has this team refocused on claiming that #1 seed.

But for things you can't control...it's imperative we get our OL back and healthy. Zimmer confirmed that the Reiff injury was not as bad as they initially thought. Sounds like an ankle but in game looked like knee. He may sit to ensure he is healthy. I expect Pat to back this week and hopeful Remmers is back. Have to think that Remmers would be a little rusty but had played great up to the injury.

Our best teams in the last 20 years were 1998 and 2009. We played the Bengals each time.

    1998 Vikings 24 Bengals 3
    2009 Vikings 30 Bengals 10
    2017 Vikings ? Bengals ?

I think this team is in the same category. We need a convincing win this weekend. The Bengals have basically given up on the season. Time to get back on track.

Round 6: Colby Gossett G Appalachian State
Round 6: Ade Aruna DE Tulane
Round 7: Devante Downs LB California

this can't be one of those let down games after a tough stretch and against a team we know we should beat.........I don't think it will be, especially given it's Zim's old team........but these guys played Pittsburgh tough
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

A lot of us were overly confident and looking past the Panthers last week. Lets hope we don't look back at the Bengals in the same way in a week.

That being said, if our O-line can hold up, I believe we will win this game.

On a different note, does anyone else feel like something is a little off with Diggs? I feel like he may still be hindered by his groin(?) injury.
Catch 22: run or pass, you're screwed either way!

Speaking for myself, I was very confident. Had we played remotely close to what we had shown the weeks prior we would have beaten them by 10+. I really don't mind the loss though, I mean hell we were coming off 3 straight road games against winning playoff caliber teams.

We almost won this while also playing one of our worse games of the year.

Regarding Diggs...I'm not sure but honestly I think a lot of it just has to do with Theilan being our #1 guy right now.

    Since our bye week:
Diggs - avergeing 4 catches and 55 ypg
Theilan - averaging 6.4 catches and 106 ypg

I was confident too, but then that good 'ol "Vikings Doubt" started to creep in. I was getting too excited about our team and being in 1st place haha

And yeah, that makes sense about Diggs. I just feel like those "wow" plays have waned with him and he looks a step slower right now.

The Bears ran all over Cincy last week. I expect Murray & McKinnon to have good games and that will only make life easier for Case in the passing game. Rhodes will be all over AJ Green and their offense doesn't offer much else besides him.

    Prediction: Vikings 31 Bengals 13

Zim said he believe Remmers and Elflein will play. Reiff is a possibility.
