At the very least it's nice to have the Giants and Raiders up next on the schedule for Foles to get his feet wet.

This MIGHT be the last road game that they will have to play this season. It would be nice to finish with a 6-2 road record.

All Foles has to do is be Trent Dilfer or Peyton Manning his final year. Just manage the offense score 17+ and the defense can do the rest. The moment you turn the ball over and the defense is getting worn out werre ****ed. But no doubt in my mind our defense barring another big injury is SB caliber this year.

Also who was arguing with me in the last thread about next year not being a write off?? Ya so far everything being reported and said is he wont be anywhere ready for training camp and the start of the year next year. Like I said, next year could possibly be a tank year.

These 2 knee specialists both think that Carson wentz will be ready to go by week 1 or around that time at the very least.

no player is ever expected back before the normal recovery period but we see it sometimes. Westbrook missed 5 weeks after ACL surgery in college he said, we saw AP come back in 9 months and he got hurt on 12/30 and was ready week 1 the next season and he also tore his MCL. its not unthinkable for a guy we know who works as hard as Wentz might be ready within the first 1-2 weeks next year.

Just come back 100%, whenever that is I’ll be cool with it. Important not to rush it.

You could see our schedule be favorable at the beginning of next season if we are lucky...maybe home against the colts early or away at TB...we can survive with Foles at QB for a few games. Our divisional games will be a tough still next year especially with ODB returning and better coaching in NY. We still will have the inconsistent Titans, the Jags (who I think over-performed this season), Falcons (start slow usually and Matty ice has looked less...icy recently) and then the same place finishers from the North (at home) and West (away). I think we get the Rams away again and the vikings at home. I don't see our schedule next season being too terrible.

That said, we can relax...Wentz will return by week 1 and will be fine. I think he will have a fire lit under his butt and will be even more improved. Foles is a great backup to have in this situation as well. He knows what it takes to be the number one guy and what it takes to be a backup...that's rare. While it's not ideal, we are in a great position still this season and could be looking at something great.

If I were to bet, I'd say Carson wentz will play week 1 of the 2018 nfl season. He has such a competitive nature about him, I bet that he will try to do everything he can to get back on the field for the season opener. That's around the time where he should be fully recovered anyway. Perhaps that game, the eagles can do things to minimize hits. Like 3 step drops, shotgun snaps, extra protection to his blind side, and more run plays. But I bet if he is close to being 100%, then he will play.

Should the Eagles sign RGIII - just in case?

Just in case what? Just in case every viable back-up QB dies at the same time?

No lie, back when I was living in Maryland I had a buddy that entered some kind of football throwing contest and the one that did the best would go to "the finals" to compete against RG3 and my friend won. This was sometime during RG3s 2nd year in the league. I wasn't there so I don't know exactly what happened, but my friend and his wife say that it was a challenge of throwing footballs through moving targets and apparently looked like RG3 was trying quite a bit but shrugged it off afterwards as if he really wasn't trying when he lost.
