I’m ok with that so long as it is only a smaller part of the equation. Needs to be weighted appropriately. Along the lines of “Mitch, you think you will be able to work well with this guy after having met with him?” Rather than “who do you want, that’s who we will get”

Just make sure Mitch is comfortable with the guy. I think that's all he meant by him being a part.

I know people will think this is a stab at mcdaniels. But its not ment to be. But im sure maybe the jay Mcdaniels issues may not have happened if Jay was part of the equation and got to know josh in an interview before hand. I think the bears want to make sure that does not happen with Mitch. Mitch has to like the coordinator and vice versa. If not its not a good pairing.

I think anyone could be a poor match. And why not make sure your QB seems to get along with the guy. Fwiw. I never thought Mitch seemed to like Gruden from the QB camp. Just seemed to shrug him off as if he was asking hin stupid questions. To be fair for the camp/TV. Most of it was stupid stuff.

I like Pace a lot. He basically dodges every question, which I don't think is necessarily a bad thing although it does make his interviews less engaging but oh well.

In any sense, I'm excited to see what he can do with the keys to the car. It'll be a big off-season and we should have big expectations going into next year.

So, Wilks, Flip, Shurmur, McD... that's who we have interviews lined up with so far.

Not sure why Nagy isn’t on that list.

Been against McD for a while now but this article makes me a little more comfortable with him. Still not totally on board with him but this puts me at ease some since he seems to have taken a proactive approach to improving on his flaws

Gut feeling right now. But barring either

    a) a defensive scheme change head coach being hired. Which i see little possibility of. Id bet offensive mind b) Vic Fangio getting a HC offer which i think is more likely but still unlikely. But he can't be plucked otherwise

Vic Famgio will be our DC next year. I think HC will have authority over their coaching staff. But unless they have someone in mind better than what Vic has shown (unlikely) he will. Be retained. I fully expect Dowel Loggains to go though. Just won't happen till we hire a coach and see who they want to bring in.

I'd be shocked if Fangio was back. Pretty indifferent about it anyways.

Not sure if this is already out there (I don’t really use Twitter), but per relative with NFL, the favorites are shurmur and McD...

Like a lot of people here tho, I think I’d prefer Nagy or DeFillipo

Definitely seems like there's some buzz around McD...I don't know about Shurmur. He's interesting because of what he's done at multiple stops, but I'd be concerned about him commanding a locker room. He might just be a great OC.

McDaniels to me is the ultimate boom or bust candidate. He's either going to great or flat out ****ing awful. I wouldn't hate taking that swing TBH.
