Horrible move, even if he never pans out. We'd be having a different conversation if the roster spot was between him and a more promising prospect. But it was between an 8th overall (if I'm not mistaken) and denDekker, Kelly, and Reyes.

    Horrible move.
It is even if he never gets better, like Gary said, all they had to do was put Cespedes on the 60 day DL as he has been out for around 59 Days now.

The kid has dealt with some injuries and set backs since TJ, but we have seen some guys take 2-3 years to really be back.

Before the season he was a guy you thought may help this year and is not like the Mets are loaded with pitching prospects.

Right. As simple as it gets. But here's the frightening part:

If they can't even manage a simple roster move properly, how can we expect them to successfully rebuild?

    Sad.

I donít get the moves this organization makes with some of their young guys.

    Giving away Ynoa for nothing.
Trading Mernady for a guy that was sucking.
    Just dumping Molina.

But they will keep a vet that sucks forever.

Ynoa posted an ERA of 4.92 for his career.

Merandy is posting an ERA 5.71.

Molina sitting at high 80's and touching 91.

They still called his sister a plus and called his change as average as it improved during the season.

They liked him as a 4th starter based on his good control and pitch profile and ended by saying IF he discovered more velocity again, that he could be better.

What have you heard about Ronny Mauricio so far this year?

Mets SS Ronny Mauricio, still just 17 and hitting in the GCL. Same as before he signed. Feel to hit from both sides of the plate, including some feel for airborne contact, lots of room on the body, chance he grows into power and stays at short.

Well Gsellman has posted a 4.40 ERA for his career and you called him a success of this FO in development.

What those guys have done so far in their limited time in the majors means nothing. Merandy is 22 and likely brought up way too soon by the Marlins.

Ynoa has a 4.15 ERA for the Orioles this year, thatís better than Gsellman and has posted ERA of 4.50 in his 4 starts, thatís better than Vargas/Conlon/Flexen/Gagnon/Oswalt, so again explain to me how letting him go was a good move please. With the **** they have at the upper levels of this organization letting a decent arm go for nothing is ****ing idiotic period.
