If Kanter & OQuinn both opt out isnít that like 22 million right there? I think thatís more than enough for AG. Unless Iím missing something?

I still can't envision Kanter opting out but yes it would give us enough to make an offer, I can't see ORL letting him go though ultimately.

can we go after 2 max free agents next year?

I know it's a long shot but assuming kyrie and Kawhi do not sign extensions

We shouldn't waste money on AG, parker capela this off season...

Randle is debatable for sure... but its not like he's a lock to come here if Timmy wasn't here. at least we have the 8.6MLE.
How does parker not fit he would be the perfect 3 or 4 for our team if not for the knee injuries id be all in

as far as ag he's ok id still prefer him over timmy bcuz of age but orl might not match if they draft port jr

Id much rather have randle and with the lakers chasing stars randle would have been an easy target

Ok, the Knicks need to be smart here.

Donít sign no AG or anyone else this off-season

    My dream scenarios
Kanter opts IN, his contract will be a great piece near the trade deadline for a target FA. If not he walks.

We trade UP and grab Trae (just my opinion donít crucify me for this)

    But more importantly,
    2019 off season,
We have the flexibility to sign a tandem of Khawi or Klay and pair them with The hope of signing a Kemba or Kryie
Thatís with the thought that one (Frank) our current PGs donít make a significant improvement this year.

Donít think we have the assets to trade for the range he may go, especially if we donít want to compromise 2019 FA

The 2019 FA is false hope just build patiently through the draft. Knicks are not one or five pieces away from contention they're at the bottom with their best players future unknown.

As great as lebron is I just donít think it would be a smart decision for the knicks to spend all there money on an aging player that will be past his prime . Great player but just not for the direction for the Knicks we need to stay young the oldest we should go is Kwai leanord .

2019/2020 cap estimated at 108 million
We have around 47 million to spend which isnt enough for 2 max players. We would have to trade noah and Lee final year to create additional 30 million which then would put us in position to offer the 2 max offers.

I dont think we should acquire any players this off season via free agency and build thru the draft and seek players for cheap... assuming KP doesnt come back until Feb should put us in position to land another top 10 pick next year draft. just my .02 cents
