Yes. Middleton’s value instantly jumps on a new deal and keeps you in range to target a Dame/Beal/Butler right now if Bucks so chooses - or later down the line that disgruntled star in Luka/Jokic/Shai.

Keep in mind - in 2024 on draft night Milwaukee can offer multiple 1st rounders again..up to three in trades..or in 2026 up to four 1sts. Middleton will be right in the middle or right at the end of his contract and if Jrue is on an extension you have opportunity to offer Jrue/Middleton/multiple 1sts. No one we trade Middleton for will be that attractive.

It’s why I like the idea of attempting to get Grant - he becomes Middleton insurance while he’s here and seamlessly Middleton’s replacement if he’s dealt.

Before Rui was traded to Lakers. He was part of a three team trade with Wizards,Bucks,Suns. We would of gotten Crowder.

I really don't think anything wrong with Bobby. I think it's alot of player evaluating and value boosting going on. Don't u think it's quite strange that once Middleton comes back Bobby goes out? I would love the fact of us pursuing more talent than just Crowder. Crowder would only be 1 check out of 3. We would then need a consistent scorer and an athletic center.

If we get Grant, Middleton would be used to get him. However there would be another player that should be coming back along with Grant. Not a head up swap bc salaries don't match.

If u want Lillard and Grant. We would have to give up Middleton and Holiday or Middleton and Portis or Middleton and Lopez which only the Middleton and Holiday package would only make sense if they want to stay competitive. However if it ever gets to the point that Portland wants to trade Lillard it would be the start of a Blazer rebuild.

You’re missing the point - Middleton is worth a player of Lillard’s caliber..short of that you get pennies on the dollar moving him. You’re mentioning guys who aren’t even 1x All-stars.

Again..Grant went for one 1st round pick and one 2nd - how is it he’s now worth Middleton 6 months later?

Any new trade rumors? Seems a bit quiet so far. I'm sure it will heat up days up to February 9 trade deadline.

No I think u don't understand the value of these guys along with the salary they make. First off Middleton is nowhere near Lillard's worth. Lillard is in the tier with guys like Kyrie, Mitchell, Butler and DeRozan. Now fresh off the our finals Middleton value was at an all time high and could've been placed in that tier but as of now his value very low. Middleton has aged and became more injury prone. However some how u keep missing the fact that Middleton makes almost twice as much as Grant. So if we would make that trade it wouldn't be a head up swap due to salaries don't line up. Therefore we would be getting another good player in return along with Grant. For an example in a 3 team trade involving Bucks, Blazers and Jazz. We trade Middleton to Portland, Hart goes to Utah and Grant and Clarkson to the Bucks. Therefore we want be trading Middleton just for Grant.

That trade suggestion makes no sense - Bucks were on their way for Grant without Middleton who then goes for picks.

And Middleton brings in all these guys as well sans Kyrie so what are you saying?

Your agenda against Khris is clear.

U don't make no sense along that rumor. It is clear that we don't have anyone that we could've traded for Grant at the time. Bobby just signed, so he couldn't be traded and it didn't make sense to trade Lopez for Grant. So it only leaved Giannis, Holiday and Middleton and out of the 3 Middleton would be the guy traded. There is a bunch of garbage after that and Detroit would have hang up the phone with any package of Allen, Pat, Nwora, Ibaka, Hill and Carter. So explain to me how we could have gotten Grant.

In addition Middleton value is not as high as Kyrie, Mitchell, Butler and DeRozan now. Like I said u could've gotten Butler and DeRozan fresh off our Championship. Mitchell have youth and he is an upper projectory guy and Kyrie is too dynamic for a head up swap for Middleton.
