Bucks released McCoy and Barnett. Then signed James Young and Robert Johnson. Also Tim Frazier close to signing.

The Bucks continued an active week of roster moves by swapping one player for another on their 20-man roster. According to ******’s official transactions log, Milwaukee signed Ike Nwamu, cutting Travis Trice to create the necessary opening.

Nwamu, a 6’5″ guard, went undrafted out of UNLV in 2016 and has spent time with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the G League and Greek club Lavrio Megabolt since then. Last season, he appeared in 47 games (29.7 MPG) for the Skyforce, averaging 14.5 PPG, 3.2 RPG, and 2.3 APG with a .422/.364/.829 shooting line.

Nwamu and Trice, who signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Bucks back in July, both look like candidates to eventually end up on the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee’s G League affiliate. The Bucks have been rotating players on and off their roster frequently as of late, seemingly to acquire NBAGL rights for certain guys who could play for the Herd.

While the Bucks have a full 20-man roster for now, the team still needs to finalize reported agreements with Shabazz Muhammad, Christian Wood, and Tim Frazier, so multiple players – including perhaps Nwamu – figure to be released in the not-too-distant future.

So were up to 20+ guys. 3 or so have to be cut eventually. Or need a big trade like a Butler trade sending out like 5 or 6 young guys and only getting like 1 or 2 back.

Bucks assistant GM is Milt Newton. He did work with Wolves 2013-2016 before coming here. So we got a inside track?

Bucks would be the clear favorites to have an agreement with the Wolves on Butler, if the F.O. offers a package build around Middleton... I believe Middleton + Snell for Butler should do.

I believe negotiations will last for some time, since the Wolves will (initially) insist on having more assets next to Middleton than Snell, but here is where the FO should saw some character and insist on Snell...

At the end of the day the Wolves will take the package because they can't have a better alternative than Middleton as to replace Butler in their roster.

    Meh.

Nothing ground breaking other then they suggest trading for Butler. Then suggest a junk trade. Then ramble on about Snell since Thib's coached him before. Then mention they have to take Delly or Henson then said that's a no go they don't want that package. Then end of article they suggest a sweetener of Maker or DDV or Wilson or future first.
