Hassan has negative trade value at this point because of his contract. Meaning, you have to give up something of value in order to trade him away.

Just keep this in mind, the way us fans measure the value of a player is not the same way actual GMs do. Which is why every summer and every trade deadline and every draft us fans are always in shock. Always. Everyone is moveable if desired.

Had a thought. Could the Pistons be ready to give up on Blake Griffin? If so, his trade value is probably at its lowest right now. He might be the closest thing to a start that we could trade for without having to give up any of our young core, JRich, Justise, or Bam. It might something worth exploring. Blake would be an ideal 5 for Spo in the small ball league we have now.

Whiteside (2 years) & Tyler Johnson (2 years) for DeAndre Jordan (expiring contract) & Danilo Gallinari (2 years). Who says no?

If you package the bad contracts of Whiteside & Tyler with the sweeteners of Dragic & Olynyk, what is that worth to another team in a trade?

DeAndre is most likely not picking up his player option so he can be a free agent.

I'd rather not work with the Sixers, but I think a Tyler Johnson for Robert Covington trade might make sense for both sides. Covington really struggled for them in the playoffs and they might need to replace JJ Redick. For us we have a logjam at the guard position and don't have a true small forward.

This is so true. Donít believe the hype that some of these reporters and analysts are saying.

I would offer San Antonio Goran Dragic, Kelly Oynyk, and our 2019 pick, and nothing more. You might laugh at that and say it's not even close, but we don't know what the rest of the league will offer them. Kawhi has injury history, plus the drama this season, and knowing that the Spurs are not trading from a position of strength in this case, the league will try to low ball.

The Spurs should keep Kawhi. He is one of the best players in the league. I wouldn't trade him because of a rough season. If he gets a max deal, the guy probably goes back to doing his thing in San Antonio. Miami cannot trade from a position of strength unless Riley is prepared to miss the postseason again. Maybe Miami can pay PG somehow and clear out the bad contracts from the books. However, PG is going to be paid coming off a 6-8 week procedure to clean his knee out. I wouldn't give him a max deal. Bad deal waiting to happen.

I would look to give up Whiteside for the best deal possible even if it is to the Orlando Magic. Better to get a deal with the Bucks. Take back Parker/Maker/Henson as the main piece coming back. It's going to be bad contract for bad contract for sure.
