Lakers News: Brandon Ingram Believes Focusing On Defense Will Help His Offense
    By Corey Hansford - 09/07/2017

“Defense, it just makes the game a whole lot easier. Especially for myself, using my length and maybe getting my hands in the passing lanes, blocking shots, just being able to get rebounds. Just different things on the basketball floor on the defensive side is gonna help a lot with my offense.”

^I LOVE when a player shows a desire to get at it on that side of the game.

Mike Trudell thinks Ingram has grown at least an inch. Says he's looking even better than summer league. Good nuggets of info.

    Brandon ingram is sooo sezy....

On a serious note.. I've been really high on Ingram since he was drafted and I know yes had a hard time, but the reason I am still very high on him and wasn't ever a fan of D'angelo Russell is the same reason.. Work ethic. Ingram has it and d'angelo Russell only pretends to have it. Brandon ingram wants to be better in every aspect.

Brandon Ingram has reportedly grown 2-inches since last season and is now 6'11 according to @LakersReporter Mike Trudell.

So yeah.. my BEST offensive line-up:

    Randle 6'9"
    Nance Jr. 6'9"
    Kuzma 6'9"
    Ingram 6'11"
    Ball 6'6"

    very, very odd 5.

    I'll answer my own question:

-Lakers media day is set for sept 25 from 1230-230 pst.

-Training camp will last just 4 days from sept 26-29.

-First preseason game is sept 30.

-Only 6 pre season games instead of the normal 8.

Free agent guard Shabazz Muhammad is finalizing a deal to return to Minnesota, league sources tell ESPN.

The lakers were horrible last season but remains the most profitable team in the association. They make in a week what Memphis makes in an entire season. If the lakers are just pretty good they are gonna bury the rest of the league. This is why it's okay for the league to screw with the lakers because they know the lakers make money falling out of bed.

If I had to pick an MVP candidate right now, it would be Durant. Not only did he make himself look like an idiot on Twitter, which he will be eager to put behind him, but after a year of deferring to the GS vets, he's now a full-fledged member of the team. Even if he just plays his game, and the others support him, he cannot be stopped by anyone in the league, and even anything but a rock-solid double usually results in a score.

Also, the Lakers' record for 33 straight wins is in serious, serious trouble if GS wants to go for it. Barring injuries, given the cushy new scheduling they could win 50 in a row and it wouldn't surprise me.

One record I don't think anyone will break, however, is winning 33 games in 65 days.

Was thinking about how they've extended the season to cut down on back-to-backs, and how the players all fly on charters or team-owned planes, and have personal chefs and personal trainers and personal massagers and on and on....

In Wilt Chamberlain's career he averaged over 45 minutes per game for an entire decade:

    https://www.basketball-reference.com..._g_season.html

In 61-62 he actually averaged more than 48 minutes per game.

They were lucky to take flights, plenty of times they took trains or buses, and I'm pretty sure most of them weren't set up for anyone that tall.

Now we got ****ing LeSnitch whining about getting touched on the offensive end, and flopping on defense....
