(I'm not saying I agree with their protest. They were protesting to a ton of people who agree with them)

    Another Stats issue!

I think at some point, It will give people who can't actually play the game, more control than those that do and at some point, the statisticians will take more credit than the players.
Baseball is losing viewers? Turn players into numbers instead of humans. Makes sense.

    Why during a football game?

At a place where there is no lights? People actually came to watch a game not a stupid protest. Who wants to watch THAT game with the ending in the dark?

Canít they protest during tailgating instead of eating and partying?

But there is not a platform, hmmmmmm.

Problem is these kids are led by idiots. And yes, they are freaking morons! If they tell them to jump they jump. All for climate whining!

Maybe if you didnít build homes near the water just maybe a hurricane would not destroy it or a rising waters overtake it. That is like touching the flame, you will get burned.

And in the end insurance covers it all and yet they still build by the water but buy better insurance....what a nice cycle! People complain about rising cost for home owners in Florida....letís not blame the developers who make their money and run no, letís blame global warming.
Developing ruin the coastline.....that is the real issue...we just see pictures after a storm of storm damage. What about the damn pictures of nature being destroyed by developers who just care about making a buck?

You and I disagree about climate change.

We don't disagree about this protest.
1-They were protesting to a crowd in which the vast majority, agreed with them.
2-Why trash the day for your fellow students. I agree. Leave sporting events out of it.
3-They also aren't doing anything. Too many times protests are simply blowing off steam but zero comes of it.
How many of them active boycott products and companies causing the issues they protest? Considering it's Y vs H, how many of their Mummies and Daddies work directly with or own the companies?

Protests are very important to bring awareness. But to me, a liberal, this was foolish and gratuitous.

    True.

What I think would speed up games is fewer commercials. Fewer extended breaks to get those commercials air time. Innings change over time limit of 2 minutes. Limit commercials to 1.5 minutes
Bullpen changes limited to 2 minutes. Pitcher runs from the bullpen. Takes his throws. Stay out of commercials for that.

I actually think a pitch clock in the sense that the pitcher gets the ball and has 10-12 seconds to pitch. He can't step off to reset the signals. Throw a pitch. If you don't pitch, it's a ball.
I think late game, pressure scenarios, you could change things a bit.

Interesting the Wilpons are in serious discussions to sell a stake of the Mets? Probably a good thing for the Muts because their management/ownership has been a debacle for a while now.
I wonder if they do sell the new ownership group will want them to clean house and get rid of some of their bad contracts or just help them reload the farm. If they wanted to move Diaz id love to take a flier on him

It sounds like it's basically official but will not fully happen until 2025, or something like that.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

Steve Cohen could have a serious impact on the Mets if he manages a majority stake.

I'm really happy about this. I don't hide my Mets love. This will be huge for them.
But in typical mets fashion, the day before he's supposed to take control, he will drop dead and the full control will revert back to the Wilpon, who will by that time, have spent the money promised and need to make it back, so they will cut the team budget for 5 years to pay back the estate or Cohen and field a crap team

There are very few teams I like to watch lose more than the Cowboys That is largely dependent on their coach.

I also love watching first and foremost, Pats lose, then the 9ers, Rams
