They wouldn't trade with us when we had Butler offered to them.

I would offer Saric, Tyus, +1st rounder and a future 2nd rounder, as well as Bayless. If we had to upgrade this to two first rounders I would still do it if we could send either Teague or Gorgui with it. Haven't put it through trade machine.

I have liked Beal since the McDonald's Allstar game when he was in HS. I feel he is the type of player we truly need to get into the playoffs. I don't know if he could play a lot of PG....

    But...

    Beal
    Okogie
    Wiggins
Gibson (Thought I want to move him to get value)
    Towns

That doesn't seem like a hateful lineup.

Edit: I meant playoffs for future years, this year is done :*(

It would take something like Saric, Okogie, Taj and a first or two. There is NO way Washington would take back Wiggins' contract with wall making $40 million a year, no way. You would basically be sacrificing depth(Saric and Okogie, potentially starting depth) for Beal. I can't believe we are not actively trying to move Bayless and Taj though to LAC, the Knicks, the Nets, whoever else is expected to play this years FA. Instead we are shopping Teague and Dieng who both are not really moveable at this point. WTF Wolves?

Who knows what they are actually doing outside of the front office.

I really hope we can create a roster spot by trading Tolliver. Wade Baldwin is getting waved by the Pacers following the trade and we could really use a decent, young backup PG to play the minutes Bayless and Cannan are playing right now. I can't believe how passive we are being. We could have drastically improved our future outlook in the last few days, imho. I mean, Otto Porter and Harrison Barneds got moved. We could have definitely offered a better package for either player. This team is so hard to be a fan of, top to bottom, players and FO. I live in Milwaukee, I have a great team playing 20 minutes away from my house, and I still can't fathom becoming a fan of a Wisconsin team. But the Maverics, I am fully on board. I am not going to all of a sudden start posting in the Mav forum, but I am becoming a huge fan from afar. Obviously the Bulls and the Jazz are another two teams I admire(for known reasons). I think it hasn't been easier to jump this sinking ship of Timberwolves fandom, ever.

if it weren't for my brother, and best friend, both being big Wolves fans, I would have likely jumped ship a year or two ago.

Yup it really sucks being a fan of this team. We don't have a direction and are stuck as a middling/lower end team so what do we do? Sit on it as if we have some great young core that just needs to develop. We once again are exposed as a team with 0 plan or direction, a consistent problem since hiring Thibs/Layden.

It was already happening with thibs but I just struggle to tune in on a nightly basis for the whole game. I still tape the games and try and speed through parts even but enthusiasm is very low and this type of deadline only makes it worse.

What the hell are you thinking? Jump ship my friend and get to the Green side. If I lived 20 minutes from the Greek Freak show I would be on the bandwagon. Would be a hell of a lot more enjoyable than the Wolves dysfunctional "side show". Go my friend for all of us.. enjoy it!!

I live in Nebraska... still follow the Goph's and want them to win but also understand what they are... Huskers have not been much better of late but there is hope here..... for football that is... Damn good volleyball..

It's damn tough at the moment. Especially when your alternative is Mavs, who are at the very least trying to get better.

We are stuck with Wiggins, refuse to trade, period (unless a player demands it), can't sign FA's, and play guys in their mid-30's instead of giving our young guys a shot, even when we're in 12th spot. IMO, you hit the nail on the head - 'passive'.

I think Glen & Ryan are happy enough being a few games outside the playoffs. It sucks for the fans, but it is what it is at this stage - we've been this way for 20 years and there's no sign of it changing.

I'll always follow this team, but they do make it so freaking hard sometimes.

Assuming this is correct, I am pissed. If we can move this bum for just about anything we should do it and build around Towns.

Yeah, I saw that. Clearly Wiggins isn't as immovable as we thought and the Wolves front office IS as dumb as we thought. I mean, I know we've been decimated by injuries to the most important position on the team, but loosing games to teams we have no business losing to.

I can't man, I just can't. I don't know what it is. I know the Giannis is a great player, but that fact, the fact that they lucked into him(even though a lot of us like him in that draft, yada, yada) makes me hate the Bucks even more. I love living in Wisconsin, in fact I like the state better as a whole than Minnesota(the climate is better, the topography is more interesting, 30 minutes from Lake Michigan, etc), but I can't, for life of me become a fan of any Wisconsin sport teams. I am not going to jump ship, I'll still check the occasional box score, but I sure as hell am not bleeding white, blue, green anymore. At least becoming a fan of Dallas and even Chicago(yes, they have a better direction than the Wolves sadly) I don't feel like I am a traitor. With the Bucks, I wouldn't be able to look my self in the mirror - sort of thing. It's sad, but after living in Minnesota, I am indoctrinated to hate Wisconsin sports, and I don't think that's changing anytime soon. Maybe if I live 20 years in Milwaukee(which I most likely will not) I can think different. Right now, I hope the Bucks keep doing well to get the Milwaukee fan base invested(which they already very much are) and then choke at the first opportune moment. We all know, they are one injury to their best player from being bottom feeders(like most teams) and the way he plays, it's happening sooner or later.

I am with you, just can't become fans of other teams like that and especially Wisconsin ones lol.

I'm a Luka fan and am interested to see what Dallas does now with Luka/KP/cap space this off season most likely too though. That KP trade is just one example of what the Wolves could have done if we had waited things out and tried going all in now that Towns is more developed/team is getting ready to compete now (not to mention having Dunn/Lavine still too).

Exactly that. I told you guys there will be teams interested. Now why we don't want to trade? I have no idea.
Realistically this team is not able to attract stars but I would think they can get with Wig's money a player like Wes Matthews or Bazemore (don't jump on me on the names).
