As we are talking about Ben Simmons and coaching changes, just so happens Wolves hired Joseph Blair from Philly. Does this fuel Simmons rumors? Is this Saunders replacement if we start off slow? He's all about floor spacing.

Been a while since I have been around but with the draft coming up thought I would check things out.

    Some interesting takes.

Had also heard rumors about Simmons moving before Doc came and still think he sticks but if he wants to move him and would be willing to send him here I would be all in. Would take a ton but in the NBA it is about getting top talent and "then" filling in. Here would be my plan...

1st Russell is going nowhere as KAT would have none of that... so only other options are our past 1st rounder's (players) and current picks... Can't move future picks is my understanding.

76'ers have at least 5 spots open on their roster for incoming players... so .... Trade machine is not reflecting Simmons his 29 mil incoming salary but think this will work....

    Simmons
    for
1st overall, 17th pick and 33rd pick this year
James Johnson (will opt in as he won't sniff 16 mil on the open market)(Doc loves D... he is it)
    Culver
    Okogie
    Evans
    Spellman

Doc Drafts Ball ... believing he can teach him to run the show. Doc molded Shai Gilgeous-Alexander before he traded him for George and guessing Doc thinks he can make ball a star.... possible.. Already shoots better than Simmons .. not saying much. Picks either Maxey or Tre Jones who can be decent backups. Get a vet minimum guy off the heap to teach them...

76's starters Ball, Richardson, Harris, Horford and Embid (Johnson, Culver and Okogie in rotation)

Wolves Simmons, Russell, Beasley (will match if not in Jail) , Hernangomez (also match RFA offer), and KAT. (Bench = Layman, Vanderbuilt, Nowell, Reid, McLaughlin, and Martin) Have the Midlevel exception at 9.2 mil and bi-annual exception of 3.6 to fill the roster...

    76's still make the playoffs.

Wolves as Hawk states are "close" but will need to play much better defense. With Simmons that has a chance to happen as he is a top notch on that end.

Of course none of this is likely but .....

Had been messing with Trade machine today as well as ESPN NBA trade lists: Movable contracts, draft capital and restrictions

    Plan B? Cleveland?

Garland For Culver and 2nd round pick.

Pick Wiseman. I like someone who said move Kat to the 4.... he plays like that most nights anyway. Wiseman has top end defensive player type skills. Heck let US change things back to bigs being an option.

Starting Lineup. Garland, Russell, Beasley, Wiseman and KAT. 4 "shooters" and should be better defense.. a little...

Have Hernangomez, Johnson, Okogie, and Ried as bench guys. May want to move Johnson for something as he is on last year of contract...

Plan C... Has been a while....

Not many would go for this but... big gamble only way to turn this ship around...

    Trade for ...

John Wall and the #9th pick this year
    for
Turner, Johnson, Evans, Spellman and #17 pick this year.

Lineup - Wall, Russell, Beasley, Henangomez, KAT... Still have decent bench and 2 1st rounder's.....

They get out of his MONSTER contract. .... we get if healthy a top notch PG and one more star.

Also allows the the Wolves to either pick #1 and 9 or combine them to someone that is a win now guy... much more likely with 2 top 10 picks.

HUGE risk ... but possible HUGE reward!

For whom would they give Oubre for? What would entice them to give him up

Looking at several sites it sounds as if Chicago is one of the teams looking to move up....
Did this on trade machine... would need to give something back to make it work.. Could send a bunch of pieces...

Question is that he will be a restricted FA after this year. Is he any better than Hernangomez? Not much if any... to me.

I would consider it to get Zach back... but he is an UFA in 22'..

I don't think Markannen is a good fit. I would do it for Harrison and #4.

What do people think about a trade for Kyle Kuzma? He's not worth the 1st overall pick but what about the 17th overall? He took a big step back this year but still has a lot of potential.

Kuzma on the Wolves pairing him up with DLo and KAT would actually be awesome

I've thought about this plenty. I think it would be a good trade for both teams.

I really don't like Kuzma and don't think he is a good fit.

For the 17th pick? In a heartbeat!! Spellman and pick for him to make the numbers work... Can't see LA doing but would be nice get for the Wolves....
