If you are intersted to see tactics and how coaches can really affect the game watch European bball. It's not everyone's cup of tea and it's waaay slower, so in no sense am I saying that is better. It's just different.
Also CSKA for example has the most expensive team but they are not always winning. The Greek teams on the other hand have half the budget of most European teams but are always in high spots. What I am trying to say is, there are no Golden State Warriors here

well, when you don't have the talent the NBA does (meaning one player can change literally everything), it becomes far more about strategy, and playing up to your strenghts, and avoiding weaknesses. The NBA game is SO simple. And there are simply a handful of players that bend any and every game plan. It's honestly why the Euro game is probably much more pleasing for true basketball nuts.

To clarify, if a team over there had LeBron James, damn straight they would be giving him the ball each possession and letting him run the show. But, they don't, so they actually work, you know, as a team haha.

I am ready for a Butler-Wall straight up swap, simply to get Butler the F out of here.

    PSD Grammar Lesson #1:

    a) their - stands for "belonging to them"
    b) there - means "over there" as in location
    c) they're - short for "they are"

This is what I would do if I was the GM:
    1) Trade Wiggins to the Kings/Atlanta for literally anything expiring.
    2) Trade Butler to the Wizards for Wall. Wall is about to hit an absolutely horrible extension, but it's better than having Butler on the team.
    3) Trade Teague to Phoenix for TJ Warren.

Not that I love this lineup(It's probably .500 team), but we get rid of three players I absolutely loath in Teague/Butler:

    PG: Wall/Jones
    SG: Okogie/Rose
    SF: Warren/KBD
    PF: Taj/Tolliver
    C: Towns/Dieng

Hopefully Tib's will see that the Butler situation is tough on the team as a whole and get a "reasonable" deal done. Have seen so many different options/Rumors to discuss but Miami seems to be the place that would make the most sense if can get Richardson back. Washington seems to also make some sense as they need to reset things also but not sure they would be willing to move decent pieces.... Porter possible but contract is not great... Beal would be great but don't see that happening.... Don't see Wall moving as he seems to be their face.

Not sure if Washington would do a complete reset but would be interesting....

    Wall, Beal and Porter
    for
    Teague, Butler and Wiggins

Pretty sure that they would pass but would be interesting. .... or smaller with Wall and Porter for Butler and Teague.... Pieces to make it match.... I would be fine with either!

How about just Wiggs and JB for Beal and Porter? Would they consider it?

    this is funny

    https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/n...s-in-mvp-form/

The buzz on Jimmy Butler and his one-man circus has died down a bit, if only because people are tired of hearing about it. This is after he pulled a pretty ridiculous stunt in storming through practice showing up everyone in the organization, reportedly leading a team of third-stringers to a scrimmage victory over the Wolves starters while screaming "you f----- need me" at Wolves GM Scott Layden, as if reminding a team how much they need you is a logical way to get them to trade you.

Anyway, Butler has continued to make this all about him. After Derrick Rose scored 50 points and there was actually a Wolves story that didn't involve Butler, Jimmy crashed the press conference to make sure everyone saw him. Sitting on the bench in Oakland, he waved his towel along with the Warrior fans and laughed it up as the Wolves were losing in the ultimate I-don't-give-a-damn look.

All the while, Butler has sat out three games and maintains that he is the one who tells the Wolves when he feels like playing and when he doesn't. Butler clearly doesn't care what he looks like here, but for what it's worth, he's looking worse every day. I keep hearing that this is how Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan led, by demanding more, by being hard on teammates. Yeah, call me when Jimmy Butler is Kobe or Mike. Dude's been past the first round of the playoffs twice in his career and suddenly he's the purveyor of all things winning basketball. The guy is making almost $19 million this season to play basketball and he doesn't feel like he should have to show up to work because he doesn't like who he works with?

Through Wednesday, the Wolves are almost five points better per 100 possessions when Butler is on the bench. Those are very deceiving numbers because Butler just flat-out doesn't care right now, but is that really upping his trade value? Butler is a really good player. He's not a great one. If he was, somebody would've ponied up for him by now. I've talked to people in the league who question the way he'll age. Is he worth a max deal when he'll be upwards of 33 years old on the back end of it with Tom Thibodeau miles on his legs?

You'd be hard pressed to find even one person who thinks Butler, even at his optimal level, can be the best player on a championship team, so you can only give up so much to get him without canceling out his value. The Heat's Josh Richardson has been thrown around a lot. I could argue Richardson will be damn near as good as Butler in a few years. Maybe better. Butler won't be in Minnesota for long, I don't think, and that will be a great day for everyone in the NBA so we can all stop talking about this guy like he's something he isn't.

Zach lavine, Lauri Markennen, Kriss Dunn (err I mean Jimmy and Patton) for Robert Covington and Dario Saric...

Seems like Jimmy will be going to the 76ers and we get a couple role players in return.

Hopefully firing Thibs is in the immediate future

76ers gives us the best trade? No first but a second round draft pick in return?

I don't like that we got that second instead of a first... Don't like that we had to give up Patton as if he ever gets his foot healed I think he had a lot of potential.

Feeling like we just got fleeced...

I like that we got 2 guys that can shoot 3's well though.
