Yes if we consider all things, and we don’t “dumb down” the final answer, then yes you are 100% correct. We would take it into account when we consider it still took Jimmy three years to even be looked at as an above average player plus 3 full college years.

Was looking at Butler's stats out of curiosity. What is going on with him?

Idk if he is pressing or not pressing enough? It is strange!

It's getting somewhat off-topic, but yes - you could reasonably expect Butler to be closer to a complete player than Wiggins when entering the league.

He's just trying to find his place at this stage.

Has been nowhere near his best, but at the same time, we are God-awful when he sits.

thing is, you need to see IMPROVEMENT. In all these years, we haven't with Andrew. Guys who will be stars improve at all times from where they start.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

trying to find his place, and honestly, he looks mechanically slow right now. So much 1-1.

But we have. He’s broken wolves scoring records at hig efficiency. Butler showed less improvement over his first 3 years and his rookie year was at 22 not 19.

By the time Butler had the NBA minutes Wiggins has had, he was quite literally awarded the NBA's Most Improved Player.

With Wiggins, I'd like to see the stats that show these records he's breaking at high efficiency.

    but we haven't...

someone has to score points on a terrible team. Efficient? Not really dude. League average is not "high efficiency". Couple that in with not guarding anyone or rebounding, and Wiggins has been a negative player so far in his career.

That 20+ game stretch where he broke MN scoring records was not on league average efficiency lol.

Show the numbers, so we can see how efficient that 20 game stretch was!

Also if that 20 game stretch was super efficient; doesn't that mean he's probably been below average (efficient wise) over the other 240 games (as a whole) in his career?

I want to throw out a Butt comparison to Draymond Green.

Saw the comparison on another site, and I'm buying in to it.

Obviously not the same position, and obviously the Wolves arent on the level of GSW, but Butt and Draymond have very similar roles and comparisons to their respective teams.

right, and those 20 game stretches that always follow his hot stretches, where he sucks the floor up, end up not only neutralizing the hot streaks, but in fact knocking him right below average as a player. And that is what Andrew is, a below average starter in the NBA.

My biggest knock, continues to be, after 3 years, hundreds of games, thousands of minutes, as a top option, he hasn't improved. I like a few of the things I am seeing defensively this year, but again, he comes in pockets of 10-20 games, so consistency is the key before I give him any credit for improving on that end.
