Figured we can just do a rest of season IGT instead of creating one every week for the rest of this season. We will get back to weekly threads next season when presumably we will be back towards the contention side of things. For now, though, the time to make the threads vs. the number of posts in them doesn't make much sense (especially with NFL kicking into gear this weekend).

In any case, we have some interesting things to watch to wrap up the season. In particular, I will be paying attention to the continued development of our young pitchers and Swanson. Dude looks like the real deal and is definitely not disappointing in the big leagues. So far it looks like a lot of you were right about him being a guy who does better in the majors than in the minors for whatever reason.

While the wins have slowed up, the losses have been close. They've played the Nats well. They can also beat the bad teams. Maybe they can keep improving.

I think we've definitely improved a lot. Basically since Kemp we've been a much better team. He seems to have solidified the middle of our order, which was been nice. With him and Freeman, it's a good 1-2 punch (or I guess, 3-4 punch lol).

I'm excited for next season. The Braves could rise in runs scored from 29th to maybe 22nd or so.

The rotation worries me. I like Teheran and Folty, but they are a 2 and 3 to me. Wisler will probably get another shot.

@BillShanks: With Matt Kemp - 17-15 record and 5.16 runs per game
    Before M Kemp - 37-68 record
    and 3.43 runs per game

That was 3 days ago on the 5th but you get the point. Kemp has done a good job for us.

Swanson with back 2 back games with a homer, that kid is exciting to watch. Folty being Folty (in a good way), he topped at 99 MPH last night. Inciarte is closing on 4fWAR after missing close to 30 games that's impressive. Even though this has been a terrible season in terms of W/L record we at least have a couple of blocks to build on. Even Adonis Garcia has shown something this season, still not an everyday player on a contending team but in a platoon and bench bat he's great.

The lineup is really starting to take some shape. Freeman and Kemp are both at/over 30 homers. Swanson has been a success so far. Ender has been outstanding all around. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about the future.

Our offense has kind of flipped with our pitching the last month and a half it feels like. Giving up so many runs lately. Usually in like one inning bursts too

Figure out the pitching and one more impact bat and we could compete. If guys play like they have in the 2nd half that is.
