Spurs looking good today with a 4-0 drubbing of West Brom and right on the heels of having handed Chelsea their first loss in two months.

Kane with a hat trick. He and Walker were smooth as silk together.

Unfortunately this forum killed what was becoming an emerging soccer forum for the lead up to the 2014 WC. PM me if you're looking for a better soccer forum.

    Thanks for the response.

I'm an MLB fan first -- EPL second (not interested much in hockey, American football, basketball). What say we try to keep this going on an ad hoc basis.

There must be others like me who follow EPL but aren't fanatic.

Oh, by the way, I'm a fan of Newcastle United, who are currently in relegation, though at the top of the Championship League table. And I like Tony Pulis, so I've been keeping an eye on West Brom this year.

Sheffield Wednesday fan here. I also keep an eye Spurs.

Footy is my fave sport then MLB, NFL, F1, NHL...

    Rooney's 250th yesterday was special.

Haven't really noticed but I follow La Liga/Athletic Club, and Bundesliga/Dortmund, is there thread for those leagues?

oops! did a little digging and answered my own question.

EPL for the most part here.

Spurs got away with a point yesterday at Man City (Walker should have been called for the penalty -- and issued a red card).

West Bromich Albion beat Sunderland 2-0 at The Hawthornes. The Baggies (West Brom) are the quintessential #8 team (Goal Differential of +2 after 22 matches): Their record against the 7 teams above them on the table is a paltry 0 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw. Their record against the 12 teams below them: 9 wins, 1 loss, and 4 draws.

What's the old saying: win the ones you should win and do the best you can against the others. Tony Pulis knows how important it is to keep his team in the EPL, and he has executed a good strategy to do just that.

Meanwhile, after a 4-0 drubbing of Rotherham, Newcastle sits atop the Championship League. They should be back up in the EPL next season. Wednesday are on the bubble I see.

Must be lots of fun on match days.

    For our part:

Me: Newcastle United and West Brom Albion
The Missus: Sunderland (we love those Tyne/Wear Derbies) and West Brom as well.

    Son #1: Liverpool
Son #2: Everton (just to keep all the rivalries going and to spite his older brother).
