Devon Travis wrote a Thank You letter to Toronto fans. Too bad he wasn't able to stay healthy, that bat was for real.

Iím worried he will be able to stay healthy wherever he ends up.

Imo he should have been in LF a long time ago.
I expect him to sign with the orioles and have a great season.

I always liked the guy but I'll be shocked if he can ever stay on the field. Why do you think he would've been better suited in LF?

Cherrington is the new Pirates GM. Maybe a deal could be worked out now?

Will Smith to the Braves so they got their closer and one less trading partner for Giles

Hey sorry I didnít see this until now.

I think travisí bat played anywhere on the field when he was healthy. He doesnít have great range and you have to limit his dives and quick twitch movements. Iíve always viewed LF/DH/1B as good places to hide a guy who shouldnít be laying out to make plays.

OFers usually need to be tall and/or fast. Travis was neither of those things. Like you said he didn't have good range at 2B so I could only assume the OF would be worse. There's more right handed hitters in the league as opposed to left so ideally more balls will be going to LF in this pull heavy era. He played a career high 103 games in 2018 and had his worst offensive season yet. Prior to that I was all about his bat and would've liked to plug it wherever I could. The injuries are just too much with this guy though. He literally injured himself in his sleep.

Or one top end BP arm that only cost money off the table.

I agree it was time to cut bait. Heís a guy I could totally see having a break out one day though because his main problem has always been injuries. If he found a way to stay healthy it would change his entire trajectory.

The Yankees are filing a grievance against Ellsbury for using rehabilitation services that werenít offered from the team. You know, the same thing JD did that nobody thought was an issue.
