Knicks fan gauging Clippers fan(s) interest:

hey guys, this trade( or trades) was talked about in the Knicks forum/trade thread and I thought it up and was just wondering how as clips fans you'd feel about it and your general intrigue. It's pretty much a musical chairs trade.

Clips: Melo, Calderon, Kncks '16 first rounder, Kings conditional first round '17 pick open for swap

    Kings: Blake, Robin Lopez

    Knicks: Cousins, Reddick

From what I can tell - Deandre has really blown up on offense without Blake getting in his way. Melo would space the floor and is a top 3-5 scorer and finisher and the rumor was Melo for Blake for a while anyway.

Speculation trade Post-LeBron comments on wanting to play with CP, Wade, & Melo and how he would take a paycut and all the drama coming out of Cleveland:

Clips: Melo, LeBron (sign & trade $10-12m), Willy Cauley-Stein, Calderon, Knicks '16 first rounder

    Kings: Griffin & Lopez

    Cavs: Deandre

    Kncks: Cousins & Reddick

And with the new cap, stretch-waive (waiving Calderon and getting $5m in space) and expiring deals on your side you would have enough to sign a Wade as well as a Jefferon or Noah to either start or back up at Center

So, your clips lineup would tentatively (before draft and other signings) look like:

    Paul / Rivers
    Wade / Pierce
    Melo / Pierce
    LeBron / (fill-in)
(Noah or Jefferson) / Willy Cauley-Stein

    Just wondering.. Thanks.

Also, Knicks don't have a lottery pick. They have Toronto's pick since Toronto has a swap-option, which will be anywhere from 25-27.

That would be Fn crazy! I think you'd have to be crazy not to do that if your the Clippers if your looking for a reasonable answer. Can't see the Cavs and probably not even the Kings getting down with that tho.

No Toronto doesn't have the swap option, Denver does. Denver got the swap option in Melo trade, then Knicks traded that pick in Bargnani trade,so now the Knicks lost the pick completely. Toronto gets the pick Nuggets don't want.
