Klint Kubiak
OC, MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Vikings hired Klint Kubiak as offensive coordinator.
The NFL's cocoon remains undefeated. Klint Kubiak, 33, will take over for his father, Gary Kubiak, who retired last month after one season as the team's offensive coordinator and 36 years as a coach in the league (including 10 years as a head coach). Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer reportedly wanted to keep the team's offense in place, so the younger Kubiak will allow Kirk Cousins and company to keep the same offensive language and concepts in 2021. Klint spent two seasons as the Vikings' quarterbacks coach after three seasons as Denver's QBs coach. Cousins, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielan, Dalvin Cook, and Irv Smith give Gary's kid one of the NFL's best skill position groups. Receivers coach Andrew Janocko is expected to become Minnesota's QBs coach.

I was just going to say it's not been confirmed but that Klint would be our OC as Jefferson let it slip in an interview over the weekend lol.
I think it's the right move. Gives Kirk essentially back to back years, for the first time in a long time, of the same offensive scheme.
I've heard nothing but good things from this guy. Sounds like it will be an excellent hire. From the little I have read, he has a philosophy of you can't necessarily shut down the opposing star receiver unless you have a star CB but collectively as a group you can limit the damage. This will be an interesting hire as he will have a lot of youngsters to work with.

Hoping Klint Kubiak can make improvements to this offense the same way Kyle Shanahan did

That just doesn't typically happen though. There have been a few instances where a coach on the same staff replaces the current HC and if I recall it does not go well for whatever reason.
Klint is still pretty green so I'd be surprised if he were offered HC jobs right away. Then again I wouldn't be because the trend of young offensive coaches getting jobs seems to be the trend regardless if they are ready or not.
Stefanski - coach of the year
LaFluer - coach of the year
McVay - coach of the year?
****, we are losing him next year aren't we.
Greg Joseph
K, MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Vikings signed K Greg Joseph.
Waived by the Titans in September, Joseph spent most of the year on the Super Bowl champion Bucs' practice squad. It is conceivable he will challenge/replace Dan Bailey, who has been the bane of coach Mike Zimmer's existence since arriving in Minnesota. Bailey has converted under 80 percent of his field goal attempts since arriving in Minneapolis after he was near 90 in Dallas.

Yep, honestly it really sucks because we all know Cook is top 3 RB in this league. We should have known from having the best in AP for the longest time that the formula doesn't work.
If I were GM, I would draft a RB every year in the mid rounds. You know one will hit and then you keep it going and let them move on.
