I've also read that with the Dolphins trending up they won't likely be picking this low for quite some time so they may take advantage of a QB with the Texans pick.

It has been speculated that the reason they made the switch to Tua, is so they can gauge whether or not he is the guy to move the team forward. With this class having potentially 5 QB's in the first they want to make sure and do their homework (kind of like AZ with Rosen). Now many think that was not the case at all but it would make sense to at least see if he looks ok. Especially when you got Burrow and Herbert already showing that they are franchise guys.

Guaranteed they could find someone giving up a first plus for Tua, if Miami drafted a QB they felt better about.
Not saying it would be the right move, but they could...

Unless they are able to land Trevor Lawrence I don’t think they’ll get a prospect better than Tua. I like Fields but I think Tua is just as good. They can use the Texans pick to probably get Chase and give Tua another weapon.

Personally I'm not sold on Tua. I think he's good not great. I think Fields is better and I think Zach Wilson arm talent is much better. IDK enough about Lance but I feel he is a slightly better prospect than Love from last year.
I also have concern about Tua and staying healthy. But one thing I do like about Tua is he does not turn the ball over and is very accurate.

Personally I see Tua as an Alex Smith type. Good QB but not one that will win you the game. I can see fields being more like Wilson. I do think though that some of these qbs in the draft are vastly overrated.

I don't really mind it since he didn't play all that great. What I do hate is them thinning the CB depth and justifying picking more rd 1-2 round CBs. I really think they need to invest in an average veteran FA next year to Lead the young guys. Who that is right now I don't know but as much as Ive hated him the past a guy like Richard Sherman could be a huge mentor if he is affordable.

So is Hunter going to hold out to get what he deserves lol? I saw some chatter this morning on Twitter that talked about how he wants $25 million. Not that he doesn't deserve that but what would you guys do? Would you pay him or (if you could) trade him?

If you could get a 1st and a 3rd for him would you?

Speaking of hypotheticals....I know Zim isn't going anywhere this year, I would say that with 95% confidence. But I do believe he has to deliver next year. We got to make the playoffs but potentially win a game and at the very least show we belong (unlike the Eagles and 49ers losses). Agree/disagree?

We will most likely have to make him the highest paid defender in the NFL to keep him. I'm pretty sure due to other large contracts on this team and the cap situation we are unfortunately left with only the option of trading him.

I love Hunter and its clear as day we miss his presence on the line. But a part of me is nervous about paying him that much because he has always had a good to great Dline with him so teams couldn't truly scheme against him without paying the price elsewhere. Thats why It would've been great to have him this year(besides the obvious) to see him when he is the top dog on the line. See if he could continue being the beast that he is.
